Elsewhere, Ji-won is saddened for not being able to let go of her feelings of concern for the people who betrayed her and lets out her feelings in front of Ji-hyeok. He tells her that she is too good which is why she is unable to harm the people who hurt her. He tells her that he knows how good she is and that what she did was necessary.

Meanwhile, Su-min and Min-hwan finally break the line confining them and indulge in a physical relationship while Ji-won sees them from afar. Ji-hyeok arrives and takes her away after which she finally breaks into tears. He tells her that with the opponent on the mat, she should not think about anything else besides the fact that she has decided to fight and she will win.

The two stay together as Ji-won finally calms down and shares about how she met Su-min and her life when she was married to Min-hwan. This alerts Min-hwan as he recalls being with Su-min and diverts the topic to hide his actions. However, he is unaware that Su-min is seeing them from afar and remembers how Min-hwan told her to forget about what happened between them as he is planning to marry Ji-won. Su-min is not happy with how Min-hwan has used her and is ready to get what Ji-won has.

Later, Ji-won and Ji-hyeok observe Min-hwan’s actions and know that he is a bigger jerk than they thought as while all of Ji-won’s ex-relationships ended after Su-min interference, he is the only one still staying. The next day, Min-hwan is told to go to a product marketing event to promote the meal kits with Su-min which leaves him flabbergasted after how he ended things with her.

Meanwhile, Su-min leaves behind a note for Ji-won wherein she apologises for her selfish behaviour and hopes to patch things up with Ji-won again. Ji-won reads the letter and shows it to Ji-hyeok while telling him how she would have easily fallen for the letter if she hadn’t known how things ended in her previous life.

At the marketing event, Su-min once again shows off her charms in front of Min-hwan and catches his attention. However, their flirtatious behaviour caused an error at the event which led one of the customers into the hospital. The two apologise for their behaviour while Min-hwan hides the error by covering the hospital expenses from his pocket.

While this makes Su-min believe in his financial capabilities, Min-hwan is in for a shock when the investment he had previously made creates havoc. He soon finds himself in huge debt and shares his concerns with Ji-won the next day. However, seeing him not mention the private loan he has taken to make this investment makes Ji-won sure that he is soon going to ask her to marry him.

Meanwhile, Min-hwan breaks up with Su-min clearly and is surprised to see her hinting at having a secret affair. Later that day, he begins hinting at the possibility of getting married to Ji-won soon and she is not surprised by his behaviour. She shares the same with Ji-hyeok while on their way to the Judo club.

She tells him how Min-hwan tries to assure her with his parent’s money and remembers how he proposed to her on her birthday in the clumsiest way possible. Later, she shows Ji-hyeok the place where she used to take care of a stray cat which had disappeared one day. Ji-hyeok knows what she is talking about and tells her about how the cat is now in his house as he had saved it from getting into an accident.

The two once again begin talking about Min-hwan and remembers the proposal she had received which still gives her goosebumps and she hopes to celebrate a fun first birthday after coming back to life.

Ji-hyeok hears her and plans something for her while his grandfather is shocked by the latest investment he has made in U&K Aerobotics. While they are left wondering about what Ji-hyeok is trying to do, the scene changes to the night of Ji-won’s birthday when a prototype of a drone makes its way to light up the sky.

Marry My Husband Episode 8 Review

Episode 8 marks the completion of the first half of the show and we are excited to see Ji-won’s revenge slowly come to life as Min-hwan and Su-min prove just how suitable they are for each other. The two are good at manipulating and making sure of others for their satisfaction, and now seeing them fall for each others’ trap is leaving us excited.

Marry My Husband has got to be one of the rare shows where we are rooting for the antagonist couple just as hard as for the protagonists which only makes the drama more exciting. And while the antagonist keeps the humour and satisfaction for the viewers at bay, the protagonists are making us smile and giddy with the chemistry that they hold.

Altogether, we are eagerly looking forward to how things are soon going to take a turn hereon and how Ji-won realises just how much Ji-hyeok loves her.
