Marry My Husband Episode 7 Recap and Review: The Korean romance fantasy brings the journey of Kang Ji-won who gets a second chance to live her life. Directed by Park Won-gook, Seong So-jak’s manhua adaptation of the same name stars Park Min-young, Na In-woo, Lee Yi-kyung, Song Ha-yoon, Lee Gi-kwang, and Gong Min-jung, alongside other cast members.
Marry My Husband (내 남편과 결혼해줘) tells the story of Kang Ji-won whose life takes a turn when she discovers her husband having an affair with her best friend. However, before she can do anything about it, she is sent to death. That is when she wakes up to find herself 10 years in the past with a chance to make things right. But will she find something more than just revenge?
The synopsis of the show reads:
A woman who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend, returns to ten years ago and begins her second life.

After realising that they are both from the future, Ji-won tells Ji-hyeok about what happened to her while he tells her about her funeral which was attended by many. Ji-won doesn’t believe his words, however, the overwhelming experience of having someone going through a similar situation demands some time to relax. The two then leave for Ji-hyeok’s house where Ji-won meets his cat.
Ji-hyeok then remembers his car accident and asks Ji-won if the future can be changed. Ji-won tells him that the events of the future are inevitable and cannot be escaped from; they can only transfer her fate to someone else, and this someone has to Jung Su-min. However, Ji-hyeok is in shock as he knows his future is limited and he can no longer be the one who accompanies Ji-won for the rest of her life.
Ji-won tells him that she will not run away this time while Ji-hyeok remembers the night of Ji-won’s funeral when he meets a strange cab driver who talks about a second chance. He remembers that this is the person who is Ji-won’s father and knows that this time he has promised to protect Ji-won.

He finally decides to hide the truth from Ji-won and does not tell her about his accident. The next day, Yu-ran comes across Lee Suk-joon who has become a new addition to her department after Kyung-wook’s departure. Elsewhere, Ji-hyeo gets news about Suk-joon’s arrival and rushes to the company.
There, Suk-joon accuses him of supporting Ji-won in the meal-kit project due to unethical exchange behind the scenes. This angers Ji-hyeok as he knows that Suk-joon is his grandfather’s trusted aide and has investigated Ji-hyeok on his orders. Suk-joon tells Ji-hyeok to hand over the leadership of the project to Yu-ran while Ji-won can only be a part of the team until he finishes his investigation on the two.
Ji-hyeok has no choice but to do so, however, he assures Suk-joon that he and Ji-won are innocent. Later, he announces the same to the team and adds Su-min and Min-hwan to the team. Ji-won is surprised by this but Ji-hyeok assures her to trust him. Later, Su-min and Min-hwan celebrate their addition to the meal-kit project and look forward to the upcoming workshop that is to be held.
Elsewhere, Ji-hyeok is unable to control his emotions as he is aware that his future is limited as the inevitable will happen. He makes his way to Eun-ho’s restaurant and begins to test the man who could be with Ji-won in the future and take care of her. However, he soon gets drunk and Eun-ho calls the first number on his phone.
Soon, Hee-yeon rushes to get her brother and meets the man whose cake left her amazed. The next day, Ji-hyeok is unable to get his emotions under control and his grandfather calls for him after sensing that something is wrong with him. He then tells him to handle the engagement he had fixed for him with the granddaughter of a friend.
He then asks about Ji-won but Ji-hyeok refuses to have her meet them as he is unsure if he will even be a part of her future. However, this thought doesn’t stop him from fulfilling the promise to protect her and he makes his way to the company. Meanwhile, Su-min finds out about the investment Ji-won is making while Min-hwan tries to get money out of Ji-won to please Su-min.
Ji-won is amused by the way he is trying to get money out of her but decides to help him when he speaks of selling his shares in a company that is soon going to make him go bankrupt. She then diverts his attention from the lunch plan he has been preparing and asks him to go for a picnic during the weekend with Su-min.
She observes the way Min-hwan is acting towards herself and Su-min and soon takes the chance to leave the two alone when she gets a call from Eun-ho. Ji-won meets Eun-ho near her office and Ji-hyeok sees the two together as Eun-ho hands over a bouquet to Ji-won. Later, Ji-won rushes to meet Ji-hyeok who then tells her how he needs to have Suk-joon in his team which is why he had to make Yu-ran the lead for the project.
Later, Ji-hyeok once again makes his way to Eun-ho’s restaurant and makes it clear that he is going to observe him from now on to see if he is worthy. The next day, Yu-ran and Ji-won hand over the arrangement of the workshop to Hee-yeon which makes her excited. Soon, the day of the workshop arrives and Hee-yeon tells them that they will hold a treasure hunt event for their sleeping arrangements.
There are flags all over the area and the flag number found by everyone will determine what kind of accommodation they will receive for the night. The hunt soon begins and Ji-won understands how Su-min tries to get what she wants by making use of others when Su-min secretly finds the location of flag number 1 and makes a move to get Min-hwan to get her the flag.
However, this time she is determined to not let things go her way and is ready to get what she wants by working hard herself. While making a move towards the stream where the flag is hidden, Ji-won comes across Ji-hyeok and tries to use Su-min’s words on him. However, seeing him ready to find the flag for her she stops him and tells him that she wants to get what she wants herself.
The only thing she wants from Ji-hyeok is to be the one who will listen to her when things get hard for her as he is the only one who has a similar experience as her. She tells him that they have both gotten this second chance and she hopes that he will use it for what he wants and not for her.

Just like she is working to be happy, she wishes him the best. Ji-hyeok stops her and shows her the blue heart below his collarbone. She tells him that he is the allowance sent to her by her father and he is meant to be used by her. Ji-won is once again filled with tears for what her father has done for her.

Ji-won tells Ji-hyeok that he is the allowance she wants to keep rather than use, she wants to talk to him and wants him to be happy. With this, she leaves to get the flag, meanwhile, Su-min captures Min-hwan’s attention and asks him to get her the flag. Later, Ji-hyeok overhears Hee-yeon telling someone that the stream is dangerous to enter and rushes there as Ji-won has gone there to get the flag.
He reaches Ji-won on time and pulls her out of the stream after which he shouts at her for putting herself in danger. He tells her to stop working so hard when all she needs to do is ask him for help. Ji-won is angered by this and tells him that she is not Su-mon to go around asking for help, he is Ji-won and she will work hard for what she wants.
Hearing her words, Ji-hyeok tells her that he wants to be the solid ground she can find support when the rocking boat gets too hard to handle.
Marry My Husband Episode 7 Review
Ji-hyeok continues to prove himself to be among the best members of the Green Flag Club as his unconditional love and support for Ji-won leave us reaching out for tears. He is ready to do anything to make sure Ji-won is happy in the future, even if it means stepping back and finding the best match for her.
Meanwhile, I love how Ji-won is not solely focused on her revenge and makes sure to keep the people around her happy. We can see why she was given this second chance along with a guardian angel who is ready to do anything for her. She is truly a favourite and we are ready to see how she passes on her fate to the one who deserves it.
