Marry My Husband Episode 12 Recap

Yu-ra’s presence comes as a surprise for both Ji-hyuk and Ji-won and the latter refuses to listen to him while remembering what her mother did when she left her behind to pursue her love. As she feels her heart break, Ji-won gets a call from Hee-yeon who tells her about Ju-ran’s cancer which leaves her in shock.

Meanwhile, Yu-ra meets Han-il who is pleased with her return, unaware that Yu-ra’s reason to return is because of Ji-hyuk’s relationship with Ji-won. The next day, Ji-won takes Ju-ran to get a check-up and wonders why Ju-ran got her fate after she made Su-min marry Min-hwan. Elsewhere, Su-min begins her married life with Min-hwan but is surprised by his behaviour and the lies that he has prepared.

On the other hand, things are becoming a mess in Ju-ran’s team due to her absence and Kyung-wook is making use of the same by creating more hurdles. While Ji-won and Hee-yeon are trying to save the project, Ji-hyuk tries explaining his side to Ji-won one more time but is stopped by Ji-won who tells him about her mother and how her decision to leave harmed her and her father’s lives.

She doesn’t wish to do the same and cannot bring herself to ruin a relationship like her mother had once done. Ji-hyuk is unable to say anything to her and hands over the business card of a cancer expert for Ju-ran’s treatment before leaving. Later, Ji-won gets a call from Yu-ra and leaves to meet her.

However, while she tries to back out from their relationship, Yu-ra is not ready to accept Ji-won’s withdrawal this easily and is adamant that Ji-won only got together with Ji-hyuk as he is heir to U&K Group. Ji-won is annoyed by her behaviour and decides to walk away instead of getting into a senseless fight.

Later, she begins putting her focus on what made Ju-ran receive her fate and understands that while she was a submissive wife to Min-hwan, Su-min would not do the same which can be one of the reasons. Meanwhile, Suk-joon has his eyes on Ju-ran after having found out about her husband’s affair.

Just as Ji-won had thought, Su-min is not a submissive person and stands for herself when her mother-in-law blames her when Min-hwan gets tricked by a scam. Su-min is not ready to put herself down and having seen Min-hwan’s behaviour she tells him that she is not pregnant. However, she lies to him about having had a miscarriage and makes him guilty about what he did to her.

Elsewhere, Ji-won is working hard to fix the problems occurring with the project until Hee-yeon arrives with snacks to give her a break. Ji-won appreciated the gesture and Hee-yeon tells her that it was Ji-hyuk who prepared this for her. She then begins telling Ji-won about Ji-hyuk and how he got into an engagement because of Hee-yeon and her mother.

She tells her how Ji-hyuk had always been suppressing his feelings until Ji-won arrived and made him open up about how he felt. She also tells her about Yu-ra’s possessiveness over her “things” and with Ji-hyuk being one of her “things” she may do something bad. However, Ji-won tries to stop her assuming that she is trying to defend her brother.

Hee-yeon then tells her that she is not Hi-hyuk’s real sister, but his step-sister who was the result of an affair. This is why he knows more than anyone what it means to betray someone and would never do so no matter what. Elsewhere, Ji-hyuk too opens up about his feelings in front of Han-il who defends Yu-ra as he is impressed by the strong will that she has shown to be the lady of the U&K Group.

Ji-hyuk laughs at his reason and tells him how if that was what was wanted then his step-mother must have been more self-willed than his mother. While he holds nothing against her, he cannot forget that Hee-yeon is only five years younger than him and that is when he vowed to never be like his father. He even agreed to the engagement while suppressing his emotions, but now he does not know what to do.

The turmoil inside him grows while he has no idea about what to do about this situation. Elsewhere, Yu-ra has got her eyes on Min-hwan and Su-min to shake up Ji-won’s life and sends clues about Ji-hyuk’s real identity to them. The truth about Ji-hyuk shocks Su-min as she finally understands what Ji-won means by giving her trash to Su-min.

She is not ready to accept this and begins planning her counterattack with Min-hwan. The same night, Ji-won receives a message from an unknown number which belongs to none other than her mother. The next day, Ji-won meets her mother who tries to blame her father for not being able to meet her.

Ji-won finds her arrival suspicious but tries to give her another chance and asks to meet the next day. The following day, Ji-won takes her mother on a fun-filled day and buys her whatever she wants, like nothing ever went wrong between them. However, her mother is unable to keep her secret for long and slips out about Ji-hyuk which makes Ji-won realise why she came back.

Marry My Husband Episode 12 Review

If Su-min had been a character who was most hated by all the webtoon readers, Yu-ra has now become a character who is much more hated as she is an antagonist that both webtoon and drama watchers are cursing after today. She is surely creating waves everywhere and has become the element who is the biggest game changer for fans of the original work.

The excitement that she is adding is surely something that many are enjoying while others are sad about how this is going away from the original plot. But that doesn’t change the fact that her intervention is making us frustrated, excited, and also annoyed by how this is slowly following a very predictable plotline.

The episode left us at one of the worst cliffhangers after Ji-hyuk blocks the truck from harming Ji-won. But could this accident open up a series of realisations for Ji-hyuk who has always been worried about meeting an untimely death? Meanwhile, we hope that Ji-won will finally get back with Ji-hyuk because Yu-ra is not stopping here and we don’t want to see Ji-won harmed again.

Elsewhere, a new story is going on in the side as Suk-joon begins looking out for Ju-ran and we hope to see some progress very soon. What do you think about this couple?
