Yun Jiwon and Seok Jiwon climb out of the river, dripping wet but unharmed. Turns out, the water isn’t deep at all, and Seok Jiwon knew it the whole time! Mun-su lectures him about how dangerous it is to jump into water recklessly, pointing out potential injuries. Then, ever reliable, Mun-su hands them towels to dry off before they part ways. The next morning, Yun Jiwon is back at school, where she sets up a table filled with fancy fruits and formally returns a credit card to the acting principal.

Later, there’s a meeting to plan Seok Jiwon’s inauguration ceremony. During the discussion, Seok Jiwon cheekily orders Yun Jiwon to report even the tiniest details about the event to him. Determined to prove herself, Yun Jiwon works tirelessly with Mun-su’s help, submitting a total of seven drafts. To her frustration, Seok Jiwon rejects every single one! It’s clear he’s just enjoying the back-and-forth. Mun-su decides to team up with Yun Jiwon to get back at Seok Jiwon, though she protests at first. Adding to the mystery, Yun Jiwon still doesn’t recognize Mun-su, and neither do we, as their shared past hasn’t been revealed yet.

Elsewhere, Yumi and Haesu have a heated argument after Haesu gets into the prestigious Eureka gifted class, leaving Yumi feeling left out. Haesu, meanwhile, has been acting suspiciously, frequently visiting Mr. Hong’s office. Things escalate when a ball accidentally hits Haesu during a school activity. In a burst of anger, she hurls it back violently, startling everyone. Yun Jiwon scolds the male student who threw the ball, but Seok Jiwon calls out Haesu for overreacting. Their differing reactions reveal how their personal experiences shape their judgment.

Preparations for the inauguration continue at the gymnasium, where Seok Jiwon notices a leak in the wall. Ever proactive, he climbs a ladder to inspect it. Watching him, Su-a jokingly fantasizes about him falling into Yun Jiwon’s arms in a romantic twist. Confident as always, Seok Jiwon brushes off any concerns, bragging about his time in Dubai constructing skyscrapers without a hitch. But karma strikes quickly—a stray ball shakes the ladder, sending him tumbling. Yun Jiwon rushes to save him, but Seok Jiwon ends up shielding her instead. They land on the floor in a close embrace, locking eyes just as Su-a had humorously predicted.

That evening, Yun Jiwon invites Mun-su over for dinner to thank him for his hard work. Mun-su easily bonds with her grandfather over drinks, and the two share stories late into the night. On the way to the bus stop afterward, Yun Jiwon suddenly remembers who Mun-su is. This triggers a flashback to a younger Yun Jiwon, overwhelmed with grief and stress at a hospital. She recounts to a therapist how her life unravelled: she stood up for a colleague who accused their CEO of assault, only for the colleague to retract her claims. This left Yun Jiwon to face legal threats and public scrutiny.

Shortly after, her parents died in an accident, and her grandfather’s business fell into financial ruin due to her late father’s mismanagement. Amid these personal tragedies, Yun Jiwon’s stress takes a physical toll, turning her hair prematurely grey. At the same hospital, a young Mun-su is shown grieving his own shattered dreams after an injury forces him to quit competitive swimming. One night, the two meet on the rooftop, both contemplating ending their lives. They bond over their pain, talking through the night. When the time comes, Mun-su hesitates and asks for one last sip of juice.

This brief pause gives Yun Jiwon a moment of clarity, and she pulls him back from the edge. Though Mun-su later insists she saved him, Yun Jiwon has no memory of it. Back in the present, Yun Jiwon’s grandfather arrives at the bus stop, inviting Mun-su to stay the night since it’s late. Mun-su agrees, especially since travelling from Seoul to school every day is exhausting. The next morning, Seok Jiwon rushes to Yun Jiwon’s house and is visibly irritated to see Mun-su coming down the stairs. Meanwhile, Seok Jiwon deals with family drama as his father, Gyeong-tae, plots to humiliate Jae-ho, a long-time rival, during the inauguration.

Unwilling to let this happen, Seok Jiwon secretly changes the venue to an outdoor space and distracts the invited town guests by sending them on a flower tour. Yun Jiwon notices his strange behaviour but doesn’t understand his motives. When the ceremony begins, Gyeong-tae’s plan falls apart. Seok Jiwon takes the podium and deliberately gives a long, dull speech, exhausting the audience. By the time Gyeong-tae’s turn arrives, the students are so restless that he skips his speech altogether, which had been designed to mock Jae-ho.

Seok Jiwon smiles, knowing he successfully thwarted his father’s petty scheme. That evening, the school staff gathers at a restaurant to celebrate. Yun Jiwon casually mentions that she has known Mun-su for years, though she keeps the details vague. Ji-hye, ever the instigator, makes a pointed comment about fate bringing them together, which irritates Seok Jiwon. He ends up drinking too much, and Mun-su has to carry him back to Seoul.

The next morning, Yun Jiwon is surprised to find Seok Jiwon and Mun-su at her doorstep, luggage in hand. Seok Jiwon smugly announces that he’ll be moving in, pointing out that the house was built to accommodate staff. Yun Jiwon is left speechless as her peaceful home suddenly becomes much livelier.

The episode closes with a heartfelt epilogue. A young Seok Jiwon is shown quietly watching over Yun Jiwon at the hospital after her parents’ funeral. Without her knowing, he confronts and beats up the CEO who had wronged her. Later that same night, Seok Jiwon is revealed to have found Yun Jiwon and Mun-su on the rooftop. He pulls them back to safety, ensuring they don’t go through with their plans. The final scene shows him gently putting Yun Jiwon to bed and staying by her side, watching her sleep.

Love Your Enemy Episode 4 Review

This series is absolutely adorable and full of heart! Seok Jiwon and Yun Jiwon are clearly still deeply in love, but their stubbornness keeps them from saying it out loud. Seok Jiwon has always been Yun Jiwon’s quiet protector, while she’s secretly yearned for him all along. Even during her toughest moments, she tells Mun-su how much she misses Seok Jiwon. Neither of them knows that Ji-hye messed things up for them years ago, but now their 36-year-old selves have to work together to figure out what went wrong and why they couldn’t be together.

This show is a perfect mix of sweet and emotional, with a sprinkle of mystery that keeps you hooked. The characters feel so real, and their connection is just too cute to handle. Watching them find their way back to each other is like wrapping yourself in a warm hug. It’s not just about love—it’s about second chances and fixing the past. If you love heartfelt stories that make you smile (and maybe tear up a little), this series is a total gem!
