Love Like a Kdrama Finale Preview: What to Expect from the Final Confessions?

Netflix’s cross-border romance reality TV is headed towards its final entry next week, as things couldn’t be more sorted and messier simultaneously between the contestants who could soon become partners in love as suggested by the Love Like a Kdrama finale preview. Episodes 11 and 12 finally concluded the shooting for all mini dramas, with Nozomi Bando and Kim Won-shik being the last ones to be paired up for the “Sad Wedding” episode. This set of two penultimate episodes sparked the fire of yet another love triangle between the aforementioned cast members and Honoka Kitahara, who also found a way to confess her feelings for Won-shik.

The new Japanese-Korean reality series (韓国ドラマな恋がしたい) on Netflix offers its 8 contestants, also aspiring actors, a great opportunity to shine professionally, while also exploring the possibilities of onscreen and off-screen romance. Will these 8 people discover the heart-wrenching depths of what a “K-drama love” is in reality? Stay tuned for more heart-fluttering moments as Japanese actresses – Rio Yamashita, Ayano Kudo, Honoka Kitahara, and former Japanese group E-Girls member Nozomi Bando, and Korean actors – Kim Won-shik (True Beauty and Alchemy of Souls), K-pop group Supernova member Song Ji-hyuk, and models / rookie actors Lee Tae-gyun and Kim Dong-kyu continue to walk on this path for one last time before bidding the viewers, and possibly even each other, farewell.

The final episode of the season will premiere on Netflix on December 26, 2023. Stay tuned for the final confessions.

Tae-gyun and Ayano, and Dong-kyu and Rio seem to be happy as couples going strong in the midst of other dramas. Ji-hyuk’s older brother image has stuck till the end owing to his habit of always being there for those emotionally in need of some support. On the romantic front, he hasn’t struck a chord with anyone so far.

If any out-of-the-blue plot twists await for him in the final episode, then we can’t predict them so far ahead knowing what we know now. Honoka particularly seemed to have appreciated his company, but only because he helped her get her mind off Won-shik, whom she’s still hoping to win over in the last episode of the season and has even planned to stay back in Korea for the time being.

The big question stands around the love triangle equation between Honoka, Won-shik and Nozomi. Although Nozomi has come to enjoy Won-shik’s company, and even started acknowledging his feelings deeply seeing him being so supportive of her on the sets of their drama shoot, Won-shik seems to stuck in the middle.

All he wanted was some more time with Nozomi to work on his feelings for her and get to know her better, but after sharing a kiss with her during the “Sad Wedding” shoot, things have been left up for speculation as to where his heart truly lies. He’s emerged as one of the biggest “green flags” this season, first respectfully waiting on Honoka to reciprocate his feelings and then standing his guard about his feelings for Nozomi without pressuring her to answer him, knowing that she was hung up on her feelings for Dong-kyu initially.

With Honoka’s confession now out in the air, we can’t just expect Won-shik to forget about what she said. He claimed to feel at ease in her ease, but that didn’t necessarily mean that the comfort arose from a romantic basis. On the contrary, completely removing himself from the scene after his kiss with Nozomi, is Won-shik signalling at having double thoughts about everything?

Could he possibly be thinking of going back to start things with Honoka despite the successful conclusion of his drama episode with Nozomi, which also worked in his favour as far as winning over Nozomi’s heart was concerned? We’ll have to wait for another week to pass over for these answers to be delivered to us.

The cast members will be expected to make their final confessions next time. Those who truly care for each other will have to close the show by sharing a real kiss, instead of putting on an act. This confession scene is expected to be wrapped up at the airport itself as the four actresses will possibly fly back to Japan soon after that, unless some shocking revelations turn the order upside down.
