Already hooked on to Netflix’s latest reality TV addition, and wondering about the Love Like a Kdrama Episode 5 to 7 release date? Not to worry, the cross-border romance series will return with more soon enough!
The new Japanese-Korean reality series (韓国ドラマな恋がしたい) on Netflix has opened a new chapter of love stories in its attempts to blur the line between onscreen and off-screen romances. Turning heart-fluttering moments captured on the reel into a reality, the latest premiere stars eight actors from Korea and Japan as they embark on a new journey together to discover if they can find true love while also actualising their professional dreams of becoming sensational actors.

With four Japanese actresses – Rio Yamashita, Ayano Kudo, Honoka Kitahara, and former Japanese group E-Girls member Nozomi Bando, and four Korean actors – Kim Won-shik (True Beauty and Alchemy of Souls), K-pop group Supernova member Song Ji-hyuk, and models / rookie actors Lee Tae-gyun and Kim Dong-kyu, as the contestants partaking in this experimental project, the series is hosted by Yuko Fueki, famously known as Yumin in Korea.
Studio members, Haruna Kondo, Aa-Chan, Shusuke Fukutoku, Hayato Komori (GENERATIONS), and Maria Tani, offer live commentary as emcees, while director Yoshiaki Suzuki helms the 12-part show. The TV Man Union production’s first four episodes premiered on Netflix on November 28, 2023, which left the audience hanging and speculating what awaited these couples in the upcoming episodes. So, here’s what we think the viewers can look forward to.

Love Like a Kdrama Episode 5 to 7 Release Date
Episodes 5-7 will on the streamer on December 5. The remaining Love Like a Kdrama episodes will be released on a weekly basis.
What to Expect from New Love Like a Kdrama Episodes
Love Like a Kdrama episode 4 Ending: Dong-kyu and Nozomi again failed to nab the next K-drama feature despite being making for one team among the Top 2 couples to be considered for the task, alongside Tae-gyun and Ayano’s pair. Once the latter team was picked after several rounds of voting, Yuko pointed out that Nozomi gave her all for the last audition and that Dong-kyu had to pull up his socks, considering his inexperience often translated in his nerves being all over the place.

Both team members were seen apologising to each other for yet another setback, but even when things seemed to have hit the wall, the two later meet up in private and clear the air. They go over what fell off and how remorseful they were for what happened, especially Dong-kyu. Another significant takeaway here was that these two were the only ones who paired up thrice in a row, so their loyalty to each other had been set in stone so far.
Dong-kyu conveys his issue with confidence to Nozomi and also ardently approaches her to choose him again for the next task if the girls were to pick the partners. While it’s clear that they’ve grown emotionally closer to each other over this period of time, Nozomi still can’t help but finally point out that she’s always been like an open book to him, but Dong-kyu still harbours secrets within.
Love Like a Kdrama Episode 5 Preview: In the end, Nozomi promises to pick him for the next task, while Dong-kyu gives his word that he’ll do his best. The episode also ends with Dong-kyu possibly hinting at his deep feelings for her as he relays the symbolic meaning of a sunflower in Korea – “I only have eyes for you”. Episode 4 epilogue also offers another look at Dong-kyu confessing his feelings for someone to the camera, and though he doesn’t mention the person’s name, it can already be assumed that he said that with Nozomi on his mind.

On the other hand, Tae-gyun has been paired up with Ayano for the next drama series, but as far as his real romantic feelings are concerned, it’s still hard to say whom he’s looking out for. His interactions with Nozomi are also given some screen-time, which could mean that another love triangle may cause some more damage again, especially with Nozomi feeling conflicted. Ayano also can’t seem to figure out her project partner, Tae-gyun, who may be left in distress with these swaying emotions controlling his heart.
Ji-hyuk may soon get into a spat with someone while Won-shik will still look out for ways to connect with Honoka. And a new partnership (or something more?) may develop between Rio and Dong-kyu sometime down the line.
