With all the drama over the last few weeks, we have finally come to the end of the road with Chelsea & Jimmy, Amy & Johnny and Clay & AD reaching the last episode. Now it’s just a matter of saying yes or no at the altar. However, of course, there’s going to be some drama before that might just leave everyone surprised but it doesn’t exactly come out of left field.
The show, created by Chris Coelen and hosted by Vanessa Lachey & Nick Lachey, has 12 episodes and one reunion episode released every week.

Love is Blind Season 6 Episode 12 Recap

Right off the bat, Chelsea and Jimmy break up after having another very annoying fight about his relationship with his ex-lover-turned-friend and her mentioning the secret out loud in front of everyone. The fight is really confusing and feels like an excuse to break up more than anything.
Moving on, we are left with two last couples who end up going to their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties with their friends. Wedding jitters later, Clay says no to AD but promises to keep on working on himself for her, insinuating that he wants to continue dating her after saying no to her at the altar. Of course, AD isn’t taking any of it and calls it a waste of her time. He apologises to AD in private later and, for some reason, we see Clay’s parents having a heart-to-heart about their marriage. It’s so weird.
Thankfully, Amy and Johnny get married, as almost everyone predicted previously, and they make for a sweet and happy couple. It’s clear that they really do love each other because they are glowing from start to end.
Love is Blind Season 6 Finale Review

What a mess this season has been. With so many couples starting off, the fact that we end with one couple tying the knot is insane to me. Honestly, I have to give it to Jimmy for at least breaking it off before making Chelsea walk down the aisle and then getting stood up and humiliated at the altar. Clay continues to be an absolute disappointment, asking AD why they have to hold on to a timeline… as if this is something that wasn’t already discussed previously. Either way, this season has been fraught with drama that we drama llamas couldn’t ignore so I will give it to the series for keeping us on our toes throughout.
I was also a bit weirded out by Clay’s parents getting involved in this and discussing their personal lives on camera. I get that the kids are taking part in the show and all that, but why are the parents also getting into this? It doesn’t feel natural or authentic and makes the show feel even more scripted than it already is.
Thankfully, Amy and Johnny, in spite of not doing the deed, do decide to finally tie the knot, which is great. These two clearly love each other a lot and it was great watching them grow together. Although I am a little iffy about the whole birth control fiasco and Johnny’s general lack of biology knowledge, you can’t get everything all the time so there’s that!
Next week we have the reunion episode and that’s going to be a rollercoaster of a different degree. We will have to wait to know who continued dating beyond the pods and who didn’t!
Love is Blind Season 6 is streaming on Netflix.
