Love In Contract Episode 5 Recap and Review: Park Min-young Is Back In Business

Love In Contract, or MonTuesWedThursFriSat is a South Korean Romantic Comedy Drama written by Ha Gu-dam and directed by Nam Sung-woo. The series stars Park Min-young, Go Kyung-pyo, Kim Jae-young and Kang Hyung-suk in leading roles. The series runs for 16 episodes and Love In Contract Episode 5 has a runtime of 66 minutes.

Love In Contract Episode 5 begins with Ji-ho opening up about his ex-wife. She left him and put the blame on him for the divorce. She gave him alimony so that she can prove that she initiated the divorce. Ji Ho didn’t want her money and that’s when he hired Sang-eun, a woman who has always blamed herself for the six divorces that she had.

Sang-eun gets mad at Kang-jin for announcing her as his wife without informing her anything. He is desperate and asks Sang-eun for help. Sang-eun had decided to retire but she has no money left after bailing out Yoo Mi-ho. However, she decides to help Kang-jin because she knows what it feels like to become trapped by the family.

Sang-eun rents a cheap car and goes to pick up Yoo Mi-ho from the prison. She ends up taking her home because Mi-ho has nowhere else to go. Mi-ho lectures Sang-eun on finding a rich husband but she introduces Gwang-nam as her husband. She visits Ji Ho later that night and they end up getting into an argument. Sang-eun gets hurt that Ji Ho doesn’t see her work as dignified.

Sang-eun visits Kang-jin and signs a contract with him. She is good at pretending to be his girlfriend and taking him on dates where they can be spotted publicly. She is dedicated to her work and knows better than Kang-jin how to act like a couple. Hurt by Ji Ho, she contemplates whether or not she should meet him again and ends up going back home while Ji Ho waited for her. Ji Ho has been taking lessons to improve his social skills and his counsellor has advised her to listen to his heart. He needs to understand and accept his feelings if he doesn’t want to feel trapped in a social situation.

Sang-eun has been hurt by Ji-ho’s words and has been contemplating her life decision. Gwang-nam cannot see her upset like this and gets ready to fight Ji-ho. Sang-eun doesn’t want to meet Ji Ho again and decides to go hiking instead. However, Ji-ho surprises her at her doorstep and asks her why she didn’t show up on their set date. Ji-ho had been constantly bothered by Sang-eun not being by her side and is finally acting on his feelings.

We find out more about Ji-ho’s life and his personality in this episode. He is a simple man with no social life and with a traumatic past marriage. His character has been developing more as each episode goes by. He has started opening up all thanks to Sang-eun. However, he still needs to find his way words in order to not hurt the next person. Sang-eun is a strong woman but does not seem to let go of Yoo Mi-ho, who has tormented her in the past but she still sees her as a mother figure.
