The story later expanded into a manga adaptation, illustrated by Bibi, which began serialization on the Comic Gardo website in January 2019.
An anime adaptation was officially announced during the “10th Anniversary Memorial Overlap Bunko All-Star Assemble Special” livestream event on January 21, 2024. Directed by Akio Kazumi, the series features scripts by Kenta Ihara, character designs by Keiya Nakano, and a musical score composed by Shūji Katayama. It is set to premiere on October 4, 2024, airing on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji.

Loner Life in Another World Episode 2 Review

Our hero, who definitely does not want any of his classmates to know about his whereabouts, still goes to snoop on the delinquents. There, he finds out the group is just talking about girls. After again making up his mind about not wanting to do anything with anyone else, Haruka goes his way, but fate has something completely new for him. He comes across another group, but this time, they are better than the delinquent ones. It is the group of otakus with whom Haruka used to talk from time to time.
From them, we and Haruka get to know about the whole situation of all the students and their predicament. They started off pretty productive, with the otaku helping the class out with their immense knowledge about the Isekai world. The class Rep also took on the position of a leader and assigned rules to everyone. But the problem started when the troublesome bunch, specifically the mean girl group and the delinquent group, started to make a ruckus and deny their share of work. In such a scenario where some of the classmates are actually in trouble, will our hero be willing to help them out or not?

I will be honest, the previous episode was much better than this one because it effectively showed how a hero does not need anyone else to function. And, it is something that they showcased pretty nicely, but now that Haruka started to interact with his classmates, the whole thing became more like just another Isekai story. Towards the end of this episode, you might even see a harem forming, which is not a bad thing at all, but I think it would have been better had it been done a bit later after our hero established himself properly.
But still, it is too early to say anything, so it would be better to just continue watching this show and analyse it later with more episodes.
Verdict

I am pretty neutral about this episode, but I do feel the first one was much better than this one. Hopefully, we will not see a complete shift of his original ideologies and see him turn into an average harem protagonist. But other than that, this episode had many developments, and it was also entertaining enough.
