Loner Life in Another World Episode 2 Review Our Hero Gets A Harem

Loner Life in Another World Episode 1 Recap

Our protagonist, determined to keep his activities hidden from his classmates, still ends up spying on the delinquent group. To his surprise, he finds them doing nothing more than talking about girls. Once again, Haruka resolves to keep to himself and avoid getting involved with anyone. However, fate has other plans. He soon crosses paths with another group—this time, it’s a gathering of otakus, people he used to chat with occasionally.

Through this group, both Haruka and the audience learn more about the state of the class and the challenges they’re facing. Initially, things went well, with the otakus contributing their vast knowledge of the Isekai world to help the class. The class representative also stepped up as a leader, organizing everyone with assigned roles. But problems arose when the troublemakers, particularly the mean girls and the delinquents, began causing chaos and refusing to pull their weight. With some of his classmates in genuine trouble, the question arises—will Haruka step up to help them or remain on the sidelines?

Haruka is at a loss for words after he is found by the class representative. She also locates the girl gang members who are a bit too demure and submissive than they normally are. Then she finds out that they are all under the subjugation order of Haruka, but it was definitely not his bad intention that made the situation happen. After that, the class Rep along with all the other girls in his class, plead to Haruka to help them out as he is clearly suited to be in this world.

The hero finally agrees to support the girls, and they all tag along to his place. The peace that Haruka was looking for is indeed gone, plus, the girls are doubly sad that he has been living in a house without involving them. But Haruka could not let this opportunity of having a harem go to waste and thus invites all the girls to join him in his place, which really looks like a mansion.

But not everything is bad. Haruka loves the idea of having a harem and all the girls using his bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc. Not only that, but now he also has more people who could use diverse magic. With their help, Haruka even got to taste fish for the very first time after he got transported into this world. On top of that, he utilised his packing skill and trapped lightning magic from one of the girls and took it in his arsenal. Now, he can use one elemental magic, and perhaps he can do the same with every other element.

Today’s episode had us see just how capable our hero is at training when he literally teaches the girls to be capable enough to live on their own. But is that enough? Are wild animals the only threat in this world? What if humans pose more of a danger than any beast that Haruka can defeat in the jungle?

Verdict

This episode was nice and entertaining to watch as we see the girls finally trying to live and train in harmony. The conclusion definitely gave me hope that this anime can turn darker later and stray from the obvious route.
