There’s no end to K-pop music festivals being held all around the world and the latest announcement of Kpop Lux Madrid 2023 lineup is soon going to be a raging matter of concern. While the first slate of artists performing at the upcoming SBS Super Concert 2023 was announced in April, a few more K-pop bands will be joining them to celebrate the power of music in Spain.
ATEEZ, IVE and ENHYPEN are some of the top-rating active fourth-generation K-pop groups in the industry and by notifying the fans of their presence in the dream lineup first, the organisers already had created a buzz-worthy hype around the event few weeks ago. However, some confusions have surrounded the announcement since the admins of the ‘kpoplux_’ Instagram profile posted a full-fledged lineup update, only for the post to be deleted some time later. Here’s what we know about the situation.
Kpop Lux Madrid 2023 Lineup
In addition to the three groups that had already been confirmed to perform at the electrifying global music fest, other fourth-generation Korean music acts joining them in the SBS Super Concert 2023 lineup are High Up Entertainment’s STAYC, Starship Entertainment’s CRAVITY and KQ Entertainment’s newly launched fourth-generation act aka ATEEZ’s brother music group, xikers. SM Entertainment’s second-generation veteran group, SHINee’s name was also seen on the new list. However, minutes later, the post was deleted from the social media platform, igniting a conflicting discourse among K-pop fans, who then called out the ones helming the situation as “unprofessional”.

The event is likely to go on for more than three hours of live music and other shows, and its ticket price range has also been revealed on the concert’s official social media platform. Their sales have already commenced and the ticket prices begin from 50 Euros and go up to 250 Euros. Hopefully, the puzzle surrounding SHINee’s presence will be solved soon. The Madrid concert is a joint collaborative between KPOP LUX, L.A Rock Entertainment, and South Korean broadcaster SBS. Audiences attending the show also have a great opportunity of witnessing special collaboration stages between the music acts present there.
For now, SHINee’s name has been removed from the lineup listed on the official website as well. A minimum of 6 groups are to perform at the event. Till now, the representatives so announced belong to K-pop’s fourth-generation. We’re still awaiting any official updates in case more performers for the July concert are announced later. Stay tuned for more.
EDIT: SHINee members will also be attending the event as per the latest update attached above.
The Kpop Lux SBS Super Concert will be held at Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain, on July 22, 2023.
