Korean Dramas Releasing in December 2022: It is finally the end of the year and what better way to celebrate this time than with the Kdramas that are soon to arrive? With some of our favourite shows returning this month- Alchemy of Souls 2 and Money Heist Korea 2– we can say that this will bring a perfect end to 2022.

But this is not all! We also have some fantastic Kdramas beginning this upcoming month and will continue into the new year, which only makes this time even better! So without further ado, we bring to you the list of Kdramas that is set to release in the month of December 2022.

Connect

An illegal organ trafficking that ends up connecting two people which then evolves into a crime thriller is the kind of plot this show brings to us and it will be a lie to say that this does not intrigue us. This webtoon adaptation will bring the story of a young man who has become the victim of organ hunters, but what happens next is a horror that you don’t want to miss.

Directed by Miike Takashi, the miniseries stars Jung Hae-in, Go Kyung-pyo, Kim Hye-joon, Jung Dong-hoon, Jang Gwang, and Kim Roe-ha, alongside other cast members. You can catch the show on Disney+.

Unlock My Boss

This Webtoon adapted Kdrama revolves around a genius CEO Kim Sun-joo who is murdered due to a conspiracy, however, right before his death he feels his spirit being sucked into a smartphone. Now, the phone with his spirit is found by the diligent yet poor Park In-sung who is promised 10 billion Won in exchange for helping him find his murderer.

Directed by Lee Chul-ha, the drama stars Chae Jong Hyeop, Park Sung Woong, Seo Eun Soo, and Byun Jun Seo, alongside other cast members. The Kdrama will be broadcasted on ENA.

December 9

Money Heist Korea 2

The Korean heist is back with another round of mind games and a road to escape that has never been seen before, and this comes with new members and a new plan. The Korean remake of La Casa de Papel aka Money Heist is all ready to bring its season 2 which will show us how the Professor’s team manages to escape from the Mint.

Directed by Kim Hong-sun, the cast includes Yoo Ji-tae who plays the mastermind character Professor, Park Hae-soo as Berlin, Jeon Jong-seo as Tokyo, Lee Won-jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-hoon as Denver, Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Lee Hyun-woo as Rio, Kim Ji-hun as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu-ho as Oslo, alongside others. So don’t forget to catch the show on Netflix.

The Forbidden Marriage

This webtoon-adapted historical comedy brings in a romantic tale which begins with a lie. King Lee Heon is unable to get over the death of his wife for more than 7 years which brings calamity to all the single ladies as they have been banned from marriage until the King remarries. Enter the swindler Ye So-rang who pretends to have been possessed by his late wife and like this, the lie grows each day.

Directed by Jung Hoong and Park Sang-woo, the drama stars Kim Young-dae, Park Ju-hyun, Kim Woo-seok, Yang Dong-geun, Park Sun-young, and Choi Deok-moon, alongside other cast members. The show is set to premiere on MBC.

Alchemy of Souls 2: Light and Shadow

The historical fantasy drama is finally making its return to bring an end to the heartbreaking season 1 which was released from June to August this year. The story takes place 3 years after Jang Uk’s return and will bring a whole new chapter for the mages of Daeho and an assassin who is back to complete her story.

Directed by Park Joon-hwa, the Kdrama stars Lee Jae-wook, Go Yoon-jung, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seong-ho, and Yoo Joon-sang, alongside other cast members. The drama is set to premiere on Netflix.

December 19

Trolley

The story of a married couple who want a peaceful life only for things to go downhill when the wife’s secret is made public and influences her life as well as her husband’s political career. The mystery thriller will unveil a wonderful story that you wouldn’t want to miss as the couple faces the dilemma and struggles after the secret is out of the box.

Directed by Kim Moon-kyo, the drama stars Kim Hyun-joo, Park Hee-soon, Kim Mu-yeol, Jung Soo-bin, Ryu Hyun-kyung, and Ki Tae-young, alongside other cast members. The drama will premiere on SBS.

December 21

Casino / Big Bet

From a legend in the casino world to getting involved in a murder case, the protagonist is brought to the end road and decides to make his final big bet with his life at risk. The crime action drama will make our hearts race as the betting world is always filled with adrenaline that we wouldn’t want to miss.

Directed by Kang Yoon-sung, the drama stars Choi Min-shik, Son Seok-koo, Lee Dong-hwi, Ryu Hyun-kyung, Heo Sung-tae, and Kim Hong-pa, alongside other cast members. The show will be available on Disney+.
