King the Land Episode 8 Recap
King the Land episode 8 begins with the wedding of Gu Won and Sa-rang during which we are taken to a flashback of how the former fooled the prince into giving up on the groom’s dress. As the ceremony goes through, the prince shows up and chases Gu Won everywhere while the latter keeps instigating him.
Later, Sa-rang thanks Gu Won for his intervention and asks him if he was jealous, which he denies. However, he also makes it a point to tell her that he does not like seeing her with other men. Sa-rang understands what is happening and begins to expect more when the prince interrupts them and argues with Gu Won.

Their bickering does not stop until Sa-rang tells them that she will leave if they don’t stop, thus, stopping the two. However, the prince is not able to let go of his anger and has his men take Gu Won away while he enjoys the beauty of the palace with Sa-rang. He then asks Sa-rang about how hard her job is but is left mesmerised when she tells him of the happiness her job brings her.
The prince is soon put in a good mood and decides to hold a small party before his departure. The three soon return to the hotel as the day ends and so does their fun. The prince once again reminds the two about his party before leaving while Gu Won takes Sa-rang to a suite room for the night.
He then asks her to order some room service but she takes him for some ramyeon near the Han river. The two enjoy a beautiful evening with food that only brings the moment to another level. The night soon ends and the next day Gu Won arrives to wake up Sa-rang for breakfast.

She tells him that she won’t be starting her shift until later in the day and wants to sleep for a little longer. Gu Won changes the checkout timing and informs Sa-rang when she spots her colleague approaching the room and pulls Gu Won inside in a hurry. He is shocked for a moment until he understands why she did this and soon handles the situation with her colleague.
The surprised Sa-rang is now unable to sleep and insists on checking out as soon as possible when Gu Won refuses to hear anything more and picks her up to go back to bed. Sa-rang is flustered by this behaviour but doesn’t say anything and obediently listens to him.
Later, she is ready to begin her shift when her colleague arrives and gives her the dress sent by the prince for the party that he has organised. Meanwhile, Gu Won is sent a dress by the prince which infuriates him. It is finally time for the party and Sa-rang enters to party hall in her elegant dress, while Gu Won is later called by the prince, wearing the dress of a waiter.

Gu Won is instructed to serve the two during the party and he does as instructed. However, when the prince pulls out a wedding ring for Sa-rang, Gu Won is unable to hold back and stops the proposal. He then tries to leave with Sa-rang but is stopped by the latter who then rejects the prince’s proposal in a proper manner.
She then suggests the three have dinner together and they share a fun time. The next day the prince finally leaves and Gu Won is now able to take a breath of relief. However, the same is not true for Hwa-ran as their father praises Gu Won and hands over the responsibility for the hotel’s 100th year anniversary to Gu Won.

She later questions the reason behind Gu Won’s actions and the latter makes it clear that he was pushed into reciprocating after her many moves. Now, he is ready to fight with everything that he has got and will make sure to win. Later, Gu Won has a nightmare wherein he is standing inside King the Land, waiting for Sa-rang.

Gu Won enters the sauna and soon joins Sa-rang and her friends as they spend their time marketing products and enjoying the food in the sauna. However, they also notice the tension between Gu Won and Sa-rang and suggest the former confess his feelings before it is too late.
Gu Won takes their advice and the following weekend, he asks Sa-rang t come to a private location where he cooks up dinner for the woman he loves. However, things don’t go as planned when the fire in the pan activates the fire extinguisher and rains on the food and them.

King the Land Episode 8 Review
The relationship has finally begun and we have loved the way the night changes for Gu Won and Sa-rang. Even imperfections are made perfect when they are together and the climax of this episode showed us exactly that.
Meanwhile, the prince’s arc may seem like it has ended but with the 100th anniversary celebration soon coming up, our comic lover boy will surely mark his return. However, the intensity of the show has taken the next step because the real war at the King Hotel has finally begun.
Altogether, this was another fun-filled and romance-filled episode that was worth the long wait.
