The Childe Cast
Changing up his looks from the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha heartthrob to an assassin, Kim Seon-ho is ready to unleash hell in his movie debut as the Nobleman. Suffering at his hand will be Kang Tae-joo’s Marco Han, a Kopino (of both Korean and Filipino descent) boxer, marking his film debut as well. Alongside them, Kim Kang-woo, Go Ara, Lee Ki-young, Heo Joon-seok, Justin Harvey, Jeong Ra-el and Caroline Magbojos will also be playing pivotal roles.
Directed and written by Park Hoon-jung, well known for his The Witch movie series (Part 1 stars Kim Da-mi and Choi Woo-sik, who co-incidentally played a similar role as Seon-ho’s “Nobleman”). He has also helmed movies like Night in Paradise, New World and more, all of which reflect resembling noir themes through their storylines. On the other hand, Kim Woo-taek has produced the flick, with Shin Tae-ho, Kim Hong-mok and Lee Teo working on the cinematography.

The Childe Plot/Storyline
Dealing with his complicated past, Marco Han, a boxer of mixed descent, gets caught up in fights situated in illegal stadiums in the Philippines, where he lives with his sick mother. In order to pay for his mother’s surgery, he’s long been searching for his estranged wealthy father. Crossing paths with the wrong company lands him up in the hospital too with no funds in his hands. When he finally takes off for South Korea on being approached by a lawyer claiming to be his father’s representative, he’s harshly welcomed by an uncanny assassin’s ambush.
Matters get even worse when he realises that the same man who calls himself the “Nobleman” was on the plane with him too, and that he’s been pursued by dangers he can’t yet fathom. Ultimately getting caught in a net like a helpless fish, struggling to make it out alive, he’s surrounded on the other side by some other pursuers as well. As he grapples to deal with the chaotic whirlwind, unpredictable truths about his past and present come to life, further pushing him down a road of darkness.
