During the Hidden Inventory arc, there is a slight difference which adds depth to the story. While Riko is being chased by killers to abduct her, Gojo goes ahead and grabs her from the classroom. However, in the manga, he can be seen he can be seen holding onto her uniform but in the anime he carries her using the force of attraction in her palm. A subtle but nice detail that enhances the main visual focus of CT Lapse: Blue in this scene.
Toji meeting kid Gojo
The anime truly embodied the essence of the manga through this scene. The first time when Toji meets young Gojo is essential to the plot and to the characters. The anime captures the tension and the intensity very well, providing a satisfactory sequence to the audience.
Gojo rising from the dead
“Throughout heavens and earth, I alone am the honoured one” is one of the most iconic quotes from the series. The anime captures the entire scene beautifully. With the haunting background music and Gojo’s intense monologue, the moment becomes even more powerful than it seemed in the manga.

Another key difference is when Toji is in a restaurant, he bumps into a man and does not apologise. But there is no such scene found in the manga. This detail is minute but adds a layer to Toji’s characterisation and shows us how he is as a person. He does not care much for others and can be extremely selfish at times.

Another splendid manga-to-anime battle sequence has to be this one. In the manga, although the fight is shown in a detailed manner, the anime extends it by a lot. An entire episode is taken up to showcase the glorious fight and helps us get to know the character, Mechamaru, who remained mysterious in the series.

The infamous panel, where Geto appears in front of Gojo during his sealing has been animated very similar to the source material. Choosing to keep the moment as it is from the manga is the right decision made by the studio because the fans would have been utterly disappointed if it was altered. Moreover, MAPPA also added their own touches which will make it one of the most significant moments in the history of anime.
Kenjaku reveal
The revelation that Geto is not exactly alive and his body is being used by an ancient sorcerer changes the trajectory of the plotline. This significant moment has been animated to perfection. The hauntingly bizarre scene is like an accident that we cannot look away from. MAPPA does a phenomenal job of breathing life into the scene.
Geto’s soul
A very small but one of the most important scenes in the series is this one. For a long time Kenjaku had been possessing bodies, however, none of them ever did what Geto’s body did. When Gojo calls out to Geto and says that he cannot let someone else use him, his hand involuntarily rises and starts to choke his own neck. This proves that the soul is still attached to the body and somehow Geto is still exists inside his body, even after death.
