Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 10 Review: The tenth episode of the anime series premiered on September 28, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).
The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes adapted the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the upcoming eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.
Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Following the sealing of Gojo Satoru, the Jujutsu world is left imbalanced. Gojo’s presence within that realm played a key role in keeping the cursed spirits under check. With his extensive power, nearly no one stood a chance with him. Hence, his students and teachers included make it a top priority to rescue him and restore balance in the world. However, it will not be an easy journey towards the goal.
Although one of the core characters is gone from the series temporarily, it allows the development of many other characters. Moreover, many new characters will be introduced as well, providing more excitement and substance to the plot. Yuji Itadori, the lead protagonist of the series will finally be able to showcase his full potential and draw in more audience.
The new episode did not contain a lot of combat like it usually does, but it remains equally as interesting. The story is more plot-based where we discover the intentions and inhibitions of the villains. They are no ordinary antagonists who only seek to kill, they have a bigger plan in mind and ultimately take over the world.

The animation team has truly expanded the limits of what can be achieved, from the graceful and exacting fight scenes to the meticulous rendering of character emotions. Every battle unfolds as a captivating visual display, where spells and curses burst forth with vivid and enchanting effects. The lively camera movements and choreography ensure that each clash is an exhilarating rush, and the character designs, meticulously worked upon, are not only visually attractive but also skillfully executed.
Each voice actor ensures that every character possesses a distinct and memorable personality by infusing their role with distinctive traits and nuances. Their performances extend beyond mere dialogue delivery, skillfully conveying a wide spectrum of emotions that bring the characters to life on screen. Additionally, the voice actors have demonstrated a remarkable ability to breathe life into their respective characters, showcasing their extraordinary talent in the art of voice acting.

The new episode has progressed substantially plot-wise and explains the consequences of the sealing of Gojo Satoru. Moreover, it has allowed other characters to shine more, especially Yuji Itadori, the main character of the series. However, the story has just begun to brew and the antagonists are not done with their vicious plans yet. It will be interesting to watch how the students and teachers restore the balance of the jujutsu world.
