IRL: In Real Love Twitter Reactions are sharing their favourite and cringeworthy moments from the show, while a cast member who left midway is ready to spill some extra beans. Directed by Raghu Ram and hosted by Rannvijay Singha and Gauahar Khan, the show originally follows four singles who undergo the experiment of dating traditionally (in person) and online simultaneously.
Through various interactions in real life and virtually, the four singles decided with whom they would like to walk out of the show, holding hands and forming connections amidst lots of confusion & in a short span. The premise of the show has been tagged as a mixture of popular dating shows like Too Hot to Handle, Love Is Blind and The Circle, which is substituted by the own & non-catfish version of Meet Cute.
The four contestants with whom we start the show off are Chiragg Khatri, Ananya S Rao, Rohan Arora and Sakshi Gupta. They all stay together, and each has two other contestants whom they date to figure out their best partner. These partners can be interchanged but in the end, the one they choose should choose them as well to exchange the connection ring.
The other contestants who appeared as the main four contestants’ connections were – Dhruv Barman, Faisal Khan, Shivam Arora, Sahib Singh Lamba, Pratham Sharmaa, Jagriti Jha, Shimona Sharma, Vidushi Kaul and Sifat Sehgal. Out of all the connections, the pairs that have even made their relationship public are Rohan & Shimona along with Dhruv and Ananya.
Talking about Ananya’s one of the connections – Shivam Arora, who left the show in the middle after a rather disastrous time is all laughs at his appearance & even teasing with some behind-the-scenes secrets. Taking up to social media, the rising influencer expressed disappointment in how his hair actually looked on the show in comparison to how he thought it must be looking so cool.
He even took a dig when he said that looking at the Neemrana trip, he was glad to have walked out before they went. He even shared how the people who matched at the end will start posting pictures with their chosen one & shower them with all the love, while in reality, they might be regretting it all. While we are no experts in dating show shenanigans but there’s certainly a possibility that many couples might want to take in all the clout they can & then go their different ways.
The overall reactions to the show are however quite mixed. Some are finding it interesting despite all the drama while others are just bored of the premise that is an amalgamation of various other dating shows. One of the major opinions to come out is how the people on the show can’t flirt to save their lives or are too far from the norms of dating. Whatever might be the case, according to one of the viewers, if someone on the show caught your eye – chances are you can find them on dating apps as well.
