– Inspector Avinash Episode 2 Review Contains Mild Spoilers –
The opposite party’s MLA daughter Kiran is shot dead at her home, which causes tension among the UP citizens. Apparently, there’s a criminal on the loose, and we’re unsure under whom he is working and why he kills Kiran. To solve this case, the STF is requested. Avinash Mishra joins the team once again and searches for the possible suspects.

His team somehow finds the secret lover of Kiran, who is a political person. Avinash shows him the intimate photos of them and demands an answer. But it is found that he had nothing to do with the murder, so the Inspector simply uses him to cover the expenses of his informer’s needs.
The same day, Avinash receives a phone call from a woman who hints to him about the criminal Bittu Chaubey. We don’t get to see who the lady is, but it’s evident that it is Bittu’s wife on the phone because, prior to this scene, the viewers are shown Bittu sexually assaulting her.

Avinash gets permission to go to Rishikesh with his team and arrest Bittu. The plan proceeds, and it sort of succeeds. Meanwhile, Avinash is planning big by targeting the weapon cartel. Since it is a crucial move, his head officer Samar gets permission from the Chief Minister’s brother, and the mission starts. We have new stories unfolding right after this move, and a brand new villain pops up.

Something that I liked in this episode is the lives of three wives. One is Avinash’s wife, Poonam, who is a housewife taking care of their son and living a happy life. Next, the wife of the criminal Bittu is portrayed as an example of women undergoing domestic abuse. She gets sexually harassed by Bittu despite her pleading with him not to touch her. This pushes her to inform the police about his identity. Thirdly, the wife of the Chief Minister’s brother, Mrs. Nandhini.

Nandhini picks up the phone call and gives it to her husband, who is in his room having sex with another woman. Though she is aware of it and actually sees it, she walks away mute. Since she is the wife of someone with power, she quenches her emotions. Apart from the action and the investigations, these three women and their life stories bottled together in an episode describe the class structure of the society as well.
Inspector Avinash Episode 2 Review: Final Thoughts
In the end, we see a man dressed as a woman attending a pooja. He is apparently another big criminal, and probably the next episode would surround him. Who is he, and why is he linked with the weapon cartel head? Is he the main villain or just someone along the way? All these questions will be answered once Avinash proceeds to find the criminal.

This episode, like the previous one, is intriguing, with a storyline that moves with a flow. However, one particular scene where Avinash goes under the running lorry to cut the brake cables feels too exaggerated. It isn’t possible, so why are we making up such scenes to boast heroism? It’ll be much better if directors keep certain aspects realistic.
