I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 12 Review- A Hero’s Tale
With the drastic revelations we have received in the past few episodes of Yuusha Yamemasu, it is safe to say things are not looking good. Leo seems to have accepted his fate. That’s the reason he just took on the Anti-Leo spell beam cast directly on him by the Demon Queen instead of dodging it. With him mouthing the words “Thank You”, the previous episode of I’m Quitting Heroing ended on a cliffhanger.

Yuusha Yamemasu Episode 12 starts off by showing all the Demon Generals and Queen Echidna looking extremely tired. Well, they ought to be, after being hammered single-handedly by Leo. Our ex-hero Leo is still alive but is in a very vulnerable position and is weak. Giving up on the hope of continuing living on freely, he asks everyone around him to take away the stone in his heart. With some generals being inconsolable and others being stoic, Leo closes his eyes as he waits to die.
The background music playing along with the bickering and pleading Leo’s friends are doing in I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 12 is very sentimental. The writers had cleverly written their dialogues, as they are very consistent with the characters’ personalities. With Leo lying in the snow surrounded by the people he had finally bonded with, this scene seemed like the perfect place to say goodbye. With over 3,000 years of heroing under his belt, Leo continued to be a Hero till his final moments!
I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 12 wrapped up the series fantastically. Even with much bigger problems in hand, such as achieving Demon World’s goals, establishing peace between humanity and the underworld, or the giant passageway closing, everyone continues to handle their daily, more-pressing tasks. This is nothing but Leo’s teachings and understandings, with the Generals understanding their subjects’ problems and how to deal with them.
Another way to look at this show is how Leo had learned to accept his fate and place in this world and realize he does not need to be a saviour for everyone all the time. The support system around Leo seemed natural and not rushed, and the animations were bright yet calm throughout this episode. The opening and the ending theme songs resonated well with the episode. The ending might not have hit as hard as expected, but it is a satisfactory and good conclusion nonetheless.
I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 12 is a good ending to this series. Balanced with calming, bright scenes and smooth dialogues, this episode is a good watch.Follow us on Instagram & Facebook to keep yourself updated with the latest news and reviews.
