Holy Family Trailer: A Mother Will Go to Any Extent in this Spanish Thriller Series

Holy Family Trailer has been released by Netflix, which is an upcoming Spanish thriller drama series, coming on the platform next month. The series is created by Manolo Caro (known for The house of flowers, Someone has to die) with the screenplay written along with Fernando Pérez and María Miranda and produced by Noc Noc Cinema.

The official synopsis of the series reads, “A family hiding a shocking secret starts over in Madrid, where new relationships complicate their plans and the past begins to catch up with them.” When a new family moved into the neighbourhood, it upset the balance between Gloria’s life and her baby Aitana.

The synopsis further teases an emergence of a strong bond between four neighbourhood mothers. However, with Gloria’s past threatening to come to the surface, it may change everything. And once it does, Gloria will do anything to keep her family safe at all costs.

The cast of the series includes Najwa Nimri, Carla Campra, Iván Pellicer, Alba Flores, Álex García, Macarena Gómez, Álvaro Rico, Jon Olivares, Ella Kweku, Nicolás Illoro and Laura Laprida. In the trailer, we discover what a mother is capable of to protect her family, the most sacred thing she has. In this family, the sacred thing is that everyone sits down to dinner at the table.

The two-minute and five seconds long trailer starts with someone playing the piano as we are introduced to the mothers. The narration of the video says how a mother is the start of everything from bringing a child to life, to protect them for the rest of their lives. Our protagonists of the story are Gloria, Abel and Aitana who seem to have some secrets to hide.

The narrator compares a mother’s love to a Scorpion’s tail, saying it’s as flexible, accurate and full of venom. Followed by some dark visuals of things burning down to betrayal and breaking down things to a burning car falling off a cliff. This Spanish thriller is surely filled with dark elements, mystery and some insidious secrets.
