Aitana ends up confronting Natalia at the funeral, who breaks down in front of her and begs for the infant Nico. On the other hand, Abel unlocks Gloria from the basement and asserts his dominance over the future course of events.
Meanwhile, after escaping the family assault, German calls back Caterina from a payphone and sets her up for a trap. This proves his love for Abel and the sacrifice which follows in the end.
Ultimately, Aitana returns home to his mother and persuades Gloria to give Nico back to Natalie. It makes her numb and confused and allows Aitana to take the baby back to her real mom.

In the parallel scene, the two mercenaries end their story forever after clashing cars against each other, leading to a lethal accident. The 19-year-old Abel watches everything unfold, and escapes the scene before getting seen.
Eventually, Gloria gains focus on the situation and make an attempt to stop Aitana in the process. She even stabs her leg to retrieve the child back until Abel interferes and packs them all inside the car.
The dysfunctional family drives through the accident scene as Natalie insists on holding the baby. Finally, Gloria understands the damage that she has caused to herself and her teenage children.
Maybe she wanted the best for them but went too far with the method. Which eventually led her family to chaos and destruction.

I didn’t like the way it ended. I wanted to see the real mother of the baby get her baby back.
Agreed! Very disappointed with the ending. It didn’t have any closure.
I was surprised at the ending because they were all in the van and where were they going? What was gonna happen to everybody? And now I see there may be a season two making the season one ending just a cliffhanger.
