6 Heartwarming Winter Anime 2025 That Will Melt Your Heart

Heartwarming Winter Anime 2025: Winter is here, and it is important we watch some anime that will let us enjoy the cold to the fullest. For me, winter is a favourite because of how effortlessly it makes us appreciate the warmth and cosiness of home.

Going outside turns into a chore, and having a hot chocolate while watching good shows becomes the ultimate source of comfort. Thus, it is only natural that I suggest 6 heartwarming winter anime 2025.

Natsume’s Book of Friends (Natsume Yuujinchou)

6 Heartwarming Winter Anime 2025 That Will Melt Your Heart

This is one of the best heartwarming and feel-good anime that will make you hopeful for the upcoming new year. We follow the amazing life of Natsume, who shares a special relationship with Youkai.

You see, his grandmother left him with a Book of Friends that gives him the power to control spirits. And these spirits will not rest until they get their freedom from Natsume, by hook or by crook.

Fruits Basket 1st Season

This is another great anime that stands out from your traditional shoujo romances. It has a much more complex storyline, complicated characters and meaningful relationships than many out there.

Here, we follow Tooru Honda, who finds herself living on the property of the esteemed Souma family after a series of unexpected events. Her life takes an unexpected twist as she discovers there is more to the Soumas than meets the eye.

Mushishi

Mushishi is another gem of a show that is grossly underappreciated. I do not think any show captures the mystery and magic of winter like this supernatural anime, where Mushi is an element that is a basic component of all life.

Here we see the adventures of a Mushishi, a researcher on Mushi who just wants to understand these alien yet divine particles. He thus goes wherever he thinks he will have at least some clue about what life is.

March Comes In Like a Lion (3-gatsu no Lion)

This is the only sports series on this list of heartwarming anime for a very good reason. The story will not make you feel the adrenaline rush of a proper sports-centric anime, nor will it quicken your pulse with thrill.

Here, you will go on a journey with a young boy, Rei, who might be a shogi genius, but his personal life is anything but peaceful. However, things start to take a positive turn when he meets 3 sisters who fill his life with the colours he lacks.

Barakamon

This anime is just absolutely hilarious, and there is no way you can sit without breaking into spontaneous laughter. This is the quintessential comedy needed for a wintry night when you just want to have fun watching something that will elevate your mood.

The story revolves around Handa, a calligraphy prodigy who falls into a career slump after receiving harsh criticism from a veteran. He has to relocate to a rural town, where he faces some interesting specimen who will change his destiny.

Laid-Back Camp (Yuru Camp△)

What better show can define winter than Yuru Camp, which captures the charm of simple pleasures in life, like camping? Rin Shima, like others, finds joy in solo camping at Mount Fuji’s base, completely welcoming the serenity of nature.

However, her peaceful routine evolves when she meets Nadeshiko Kagamihara, a cheerful girl who unexpectedly stumbles upon her campsite. Despite their personality differences, the two bond over shared warmth, laughter, and a love for the outdoors.

So, which one are you going to choose to watch for the winter of 2025? Is it something from this list? Let us know in the comments.
