Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 (경성크리처) is the sequel to the historical thriller of the same name that is here to bring an end to a chapter in 1945. Directed by Jung Dong-yoon, the drama stars Park Seo-joon, Han So-hee, Kim Su-hyun, Kim Hae-sook, Jo Han-chul, and Wi Ha-joon, alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings an end to Jang Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok’s mission as they return back to the horrifying hospital to bring an end to the inhumane experiments. However, it isn’t easy to right the wrongs as this time they need to be prepared to lose the one they love the most.

In the spring of 1945 in Gyeongseong, during the Japanese colonization of Korea, two young adults confront a strange creature born of greed and battle against it for survival.
Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 Review
Episode 8 resumes Gyeongseong Creature in this part 2 as we see Jang Tae-sang returning with a bang, ending Yoon Chae-ok’s wait. With this, the show continues to show what happens after Tae-sang returns and how he saves the people caught by Ishikawa after he saves the captives from the hospital.
Tae-sang returns with his high-class attitude, showing his boss-like behaviour with no fear, he goes on to show this development he has gone through after the incident at the hospital. Tae-sang is surely more humane in these three episodes as he begins to behave more like a rebel who wishes for his country’s freedom.
However, it isn’t just the horror inside the hospital that made him that way, it is also the influence Chae-ok has on him which brings out this side. Part 2 highly focuses on the relationship between Tae-sang and Chae-ok as they exhibit little actions showing their endless love for each other. This is especially seen during the action scene towards the end of the show which you wouldn’t want to miss.
Their story in part 2 begins similarly to the previous part, however, you can see the difference this time as they do not shy away from showing their emotions. However, the depth of their feelings for each other is beautiful seen in the scene when they make sure to keep the other alive, even at the cost of their own lives. The development of their characters who went from not believing in love to loving each other to the extent of making sure the other is alive is truly beautiful in its way.
Speaking of relationships, once again it is the monster in the film who steals our hearts with the way she shows her love for her daughter. A mother’s love truly is the strongest and this is beautifully portrayed in the film. The love Tae-sang and Chae-ok’s mother hold for Chae-ok in a way hide the brilliant character Chae-ok is.
Meanwhile, the shocking character of this part is surely Maeda Yukiko who proves what a woman’s love can do to people as she emerges as the strongest among all. Kim Su-hyun hits the spot when showing the complex emotions of this character as she makes sure to let the viewers see the emotions hidden within her heart.
Altogether, these three episodes hold more of a heartwrenching romance than horror which may be a letdown for some viewers, but do not give up as the thrill has not died down. The action and thrill have been given the place they deserve and be sure to not miss out on the ending credits as it holds a new series of horrors and excitement for fans of the show.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 brings an end to the horrors created by the Japanese in Korea, however, it also teases us with a new beginning as creatures of the night roam around with the faces of humans. The three episodes take the thrill and action up along with the romance between Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, while keeping us intrigued the whole time.
A good watch for fans of the genre and actors, and something you wouldn’t want to miss.
