Great Expectations Episode 5 is the next episode in line to be released. As we have already established, that marriage is not exactly Estella’s cup of tea and Pip’s determination to be a gentleman might take him to a place he does not want to go to which are themes to be explored in the upcoming episode.
The period drama, Great Expectations, is by Peaky Blinders’ Steven Knight and is based on the classic by Charles Dickens of the same name. The production companies involved are Scott Free Productions, Hardy Baker & Son, BBC Studios and FXP. The main characters in the series include Olivia Colman as Miss Havisham, Fionn Whitehead as Pip and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella. Together, we have Ashley Thomas as Jaggers, Johnny Harris as Magwitch, Hayley Squires as Sara, Owen McDonnell as Joe, Trystan Gravelle as Compeyson and Matt Berry as Mr. Pumblechook. Brady Hood directs the released episodes of the show.
What Will Happen in Great Expectations Episode 5?
The preview video for Great Expectations Episode 5 shows us how Estella is trying to break free from Miss Havisham’s claws. It must be the first time when we see Estella vocal how she does not want to get married as Miss Havisham, like all her games, asks Estella and Drummle to dance while she watches on.

Meanwhile, there are other elements of the story that are going to unfold in the upcoming episode. We see Jaggers warn Pip about where he is heading with his life. Meanwhile, the convicts from Pip’s past are back and they have not forgotten the betrayal or the kindness. The preview ends with the viewers being informed that some sort of darkness is going to take our over our main protagonist- Pip.
When Will Great Expectations Episode 5 Release?
The fourth episode of the series is scheduled to release on April 16, 2023, on Hulu. Much like the previous episodes, we can expect the upcoming episode to be 30 to 60 minutes long. Chances are that the upcoming episode will also be directed by Brady Hood and written by Steven Knight.
