The trailer for the digital release of the Malayalam language black comedy Gold has been released on Youtube and other social media platforms. The film stars critically acclaimed actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, who finds a truck filled with gold bars, parked in his backyard, eventually leading to an array of enigmatic events. Moreover, the flick is written and directed by Alphonse Puthren, and produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen.
The complete cast of the film includes Nayanthara, Mallika Sukumaran, Shammi Thilakan, Lalu Alex, Baburaj, Ajmal Ameer, Shanthi Krishna, Jagadish, Krishna Sankar, Roshan Mathew, Vinay Forrt, and Saiju Kurup. Furthermore, the film is produced under the banner of Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames. The duo of Anend C. Chandran and Viswajith Odukkathil, serve as the cinematographer of the feature.

The trailer of the crime comedy starts with Joshi, a mobile shop owner who recently purchases a new car in preparation for his upcoming marriage to a girl named Radha. However, when the car is delivered, Joshi and his mother find that the gate is blocked by a pickup truck filled with portable speakers.
The protagonist of the film starts to take help from the cops and informs them about the truck. Furthermore, despite complaining to the police, the truck remains in place for several days. Which eventually forces Joshi to take some action of his own.
One morning, Joshi makes a shocking discovery when he finds that the boxes inside the truck are not portable speakers, but gold bars. Now, Joshi must navigate this unexpected and potentially dangerous situation, trying to figure out what to do with the unexpected treasure.

Furthermore, the rest of the trailer for Gold likely hints at the thrilling and potentially risky journey that Joshi must undertake as he confronts this unforeseen turn of events. Including his hunch to confiscate the newly found treasure in his backyard. Notably, the film was released in theatres on 1st December, after a post-production delay of several months.
