Shinra finally arrives at the facility where Captain Obi is being held captive. There, he comes face to face with Captain Burns and questions him, demanding to know why someone once seen as a hero is now aligning with the enemy. In response, Burns admits that after his experience with the Adolla Link, his faith in God began to waver. He reveals that Haumea introduced him to the Evangelist, whom he now believes to be the true deity.

Interestingly, Joker also acknowledges that Adolla gives off the feeling of a divine realm. However, since he never pledged allegiance to any god, he never expected justice or righteousness from it. Shinra tries to reason with Burns, but it becomes clear that logic won’t change his mind. This leads to a stunning battle, with Burns taking on both Shinra and Joker, and he dominates the fight.

Meanwhile, even Burns’s own allies are baffled by his actions, particularly his plan to transform Earth into a second sun, an idea that defies all reasoning. Fortunately, the rest of Company 8 is already closing in to support Shinra. Notably, Burns had instructed Haumea to stay out of his confrontation with Shinra, keeping her and her forces at a distance.

Today’s episode goes right into battle mode as we see Gold keeping the rest of the Company 8 members at bay. Gold can very well control all the devices that Maki and others are using, which makes everyone confused as to what her powers are. Everyone should have a power connection to heat or fire. Then how can she use that power to lift heavy objects?

Thankfully, Company 8 has Licht by their side, and he realises that she is actually using gold to turn her gauntlet into magnets, which she operates to control the metal objects. But even though they know her abilities, it is not easy to counter that. However, Vulcan has already crafted a perfect weapon that can give Tamaki a huge boost in her firepower. Sadly, even that did not help much.

Lisa had to intervene to buy some time for Licht to come up with another idea. He suggests that they first must counter Gold’s magnetism with the help of ferromagnetic material, which also translates to the usage of iron. That means the plan is to cover Gold’s gauntlet entirely in iron so that its magnetic abilities do not work anymore. This is when Licht gives them the instruction to use Tamaki to melt iron to such a high temperature that it’s not magnetic anymore.

This segment was hilarious as Company 8 literally used Tamaki’s behind to conjure a pot and then later used oxygen and Vulcan’s device to make the firepower stronger. But things do not finish here, and there are more fights towards the end that involve another enemy called Stream and our beloved Arthur.

Today’s episode was again very funny, but at the same time very action-heavy. Though Shinra did not get as much screen time here, I loved seeing the other characters a lot more. They really got the attention that they deserved, and it was fun to witness the teamwork of Company 8. But I was most shocked to see the conclusion where Obi suffered the most.
