Fire Force Season 3 Episode 12 Recap
The episode showed Faerie clashing against Sho and Arrow, initially baffled by their sudden hostility. However, it doesn’t take long for him to understand the situation, after which he stops holding back and engages them seriously. Despite Sho and Arrow giving it everything they have, Faerie proves to be overwhelmingly powerful. Meanwhile, Inca appears unusually cheerful, possibly because she believes her end is near. Instead of fear, she shows optimism and confidently hints that something extraordinary is about to unfold.
This episode also highlights just how formidable Faerie truly is. He reveals the ability to render his body transparent and, more impressively, manipulate gravity itself through the use of an Adolla Burst. When Sho questions whether Faerie is even capable of wielding such power, Faerie clarifies that the Adolla Burst is not exclusive to the Pillars alone. Elsewhere, Shinra is rescued at last, though he remains unconscious.

One of the episode’s most compelling moments comes when Yona begins discussing a previously unexplored past. He recounts events surrounding the first Great Cataclysm and explains in detail how the Amaterasu religion came into existence. Soon after, a Pillar is ignited by the flames of Adolla, triggering an immediate Adolla Link that Shinra instinctively senses. This connects him to Inca.
Fire Force Season 3 Episode 13 Review

The episode begins with Shinra waking up with a new hairstyle and piercings. Not only that, but he was also kept tied to his bed by his own Company people, and he is rightfully disoriented. He starts asking what is happening and gets to know that, apparently, it had been three months since some other soul was residing in his body, who acted very differently from his usual self. Shinra obviously has no recollection of this, and for him, it feels like he just woke up to a completely different situation.
But the mystery thickens as Shinra struggles to understand what has happened to him. Apparently, his personality became insufferable. He became violent towards Sister and even got tattoos. Later, he discusses all these things with Arthur, who becomes the only person to share the same idea as to what is happening to him. The theory that Arthur gives is the most legible, and that clears out much of the scenario. Shinra realises that the one in his body might have been his doppelganger, giving the situation an entirely new meaning.

Later, Sister comes to the rescue and informs Shinra about the many changes to the world she is witnessing. The moment more pillars started appearing, the rate of human combustion also increased, making the situation dire for everyone. Here, Sister also reveals something very interesting about herself, and what really happened for Shinra to turn violent towards her.
The episode concludes with another significant development that will undoubtedly impact the course of events from now on.
Verdict

The arrival of this season is a treat because it will finally reveal many of the secrets of this world. However, with so many high-profile anime releases crowding the roster, Fire Force Season 3 struggles to stand out. On top of that, the narrative is now deeply immersed in its lore, and if the pacing slips, the story risks losing its appeal.
The first episode does a solid job of setting the tone, and hopefully, the season will build on that foundation and deliver a satisfying watch.
