Fighting Music Video by SEVENTEEN’s chaotic trio BSS (부석순) aka Boo-Seok-Soon is finally here. The song also features South Korean rapper Lee Young-ji, who recently won the famous rapping survival competition Show Me the Money. The unit consists of three members, DK, Hoshi, and Seungkwan, who officially made their debut on March 21, 2018.
BSS members have also contributed to the song’s lyrics with their fellow SEVENTEEN member and producer Woozi alongside Lee Young-ji. BUMZU, Hoshi, S.COUPS and Park Ki-tae are credited as the track composers. Along with the title track Fighting (파이팅 해야지), the album Second Wind also features two other tracks – LUNCH and 7시에 들어줘 (Feat. Peder Elias) which literally means listen at 7 PM.
According to the description of the tracks, Fighting is a song that is like the positive energy your own cheerleaders BSS offer to help you start a refreshing day thinking “I can do this!” While the second track, “LUNCH” is a song that will wash away the drowsiness of the afternoon and fill you with subtle but invigorating energy. It has a distinctive and cheerful melody that makes you want to keep listening.

The last song 7 PM is a pleasant mellow track through which the trio want the listener to relax after a hard and tiring day. It also features the singer Peder Elias, who contributes the English lyrics to the song and sweetly ends with the last verse. The whole album showcases the energy of a whole day, where you start beaming with energy, and in the middle, you try to keep up the spirit and then end the day with a relaxing vibe.
The music video starts off with the trio waking up in the morning where they express the universal feelings of trying to wake up but also wanting to sleep more. The lyrics of the song further tell the story which every one of us can relate to. From being envious of others on social media, who seem like they are living their best lives, while we feel like always on the struggling end.

That’s when BSS comes in with the pop beats to boost up everyone’s spirits and tells us – Gotta keep going, what else can you do? Don’t give up and Fighting (a way to say cheer up/all the best in Korean). The simple yet addictive choreography in the chorus is definitely going to take over social media.
Rapper Lee Young-ji also adds her powerful rap to the song and keeping up with the theme of the song, she raps about life being uncertain – with many highs and lows like a stock market. But this song will be like a vitamin to you where BSS is ready to sing for you and cheer you on.
