Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6 Review- The Plot
Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa. I apologise for falling for that El Dorado bait last episode. In my defence, it was a bait that most people were supposed to fall into. The girl-boss group of pirates mentioned it by the name as the location that the coordinates lead to. It is quite easy to believe that every series falls into tropes from time to time, which isn’t a bad thing per se.
Fena has fallen into the hands of the dastardly pirates who we have previously seen be associated with the English general, Abel. Fena meets him in Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6, and they have some interesting conversations that give a bunch of exposition alongside hints about the character of the Englishman. He’s fishy and doesn’t appear to be a trustworthy character.
We only learned they are called this in the last episode, but the Goblin Knights have an inner conflict they need to settle among themselves. It involves either following orders or saving Fena from the pirates. It really doesn’t go the way you’d think, and I’m now starting to wonder if it really only is a 12 episode anime. Things are moving along quicker than I first thought they would. Maybe we’ve all just been conditioned to believe that stories about pirates and treasures are all meant to go for 20+ years. Yes, this is another shot at One Piece.
There are plenty of mysteries left to uncover and plenty of people whose motivations we just don’t know. Some characters might just have their alignments switched by the end, and we might even have gotten some hints on who it might be in Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6. Check it out again, and maybe you’ll catch some too!
Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6 Review- The Characters
Abel is fascinating in that he seems to hide his true thoughts very well, resulting in him being able to fool people quite easily. He makes for an excellent foil to Fena and Yukimaru, who carry their emotions upon their sleeves. Fena has this uncanny ability to attract trouble and misfortune wherever she goes, but that is countered by her ability to incite loyalty and love for her in every person she meets.
The Goblin Knights are a jolly bunch who mess about a lot but can kick some serious ass when the going gets rough. The show gives each of them plenty of personalities, so it is very easy to tell them apart from each other despite some of them looking alike. This friction between them is entirely welcome and will lead towards an interesting story arc. Characters are a strong suit for Fena: Pirate Princess.
Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6- Art and Music
The animation was immaculate, as always. The attention to detail that some frames have is almost astounding to witness. Production I.G. put a lot of love into creating and animating this series, and it shows. The framing and lighting in one particular scene were enough for this show to earn several nominations at the anime awards, and this is a thing that happens in every episode of the show.
The music in Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6 was epic and grandiose, exactly the sort one would expect to hear in a show like this. I, for one, would absolutely not mind a great EDM number inserted in one of these episodes for the sake of freshness. I kid, I kid.
Fena Pirate Princess Episode 6 was a phenomenal watch, but the hurried nature of the show’s plot is catching up to it. Enjoy the ride until it lasts because we’re only here for a good time, not a long time.
