Addicted is an American erotic thriller drama film based on Zane’s novel of the same name. It is directed by Bille Woodruff from a screenplay written by Christina Welsh and Ernie Barbarash. The synopsis of the film reads, “With a caring husband, two kids and a great career, Zoe has it all, until she develops an insatiable hunger for sex with other men.”

Unfaithful is a story about a fiery passion that throws a contented marriage into jeopardy when suburban mom Connie begins an erotic affair with a younger man. It is an erotic thriller tale about a married woman named Connie Summer lured by the temptation of a younger man Paul Martel which ultimately becomes an ongoing affair.

Once Summer’s husband Edward is made aware of her indiscretions, he takes the matter into his own hands by murdering Summer’s lover. Newness is a romantic drama film directed by Drake Doremus from a screenplay written by Ben York Jones. It stars Nicholas Hoult, Laia Costa, Courtney Eaton, Danny Huston and Esther Perel. The synopsis of the film reads – Martin and Gabi try to form a relationship after meeting through a hookup app, but when boredom creeps in, they seek out an unconventional solution.

It has a runtime of about 1 hour and 57 minutes. It shows two twenty-somethings millennials, Martin, a pharmacist, and Gabi, a physical therapy assistant, spend their weekends swiping on a dating app. The options are endless, but it’s less about connection and more about hooking up. But when they meet, they find themselves talking into the early hours.

Duck Butter (2018)

Duck Butter is an independent film directed by Miguel Arteta, from a screenplay by Arteta and Alia Shawkat. It stars Shawkat, Laia Costa, Mae Whitman, Hong Chau and Kate Berlant. The plot of the film read, “Wary of dishonesty in relationships, two young women embark on a 24-hour experiment on intimacy, but their romance flounders as the clock winds down.”

It has a runtime of about 1 hour and 34 minutes. What begins as a sexy, emotional evening in pursuit of real romance soon turns into a distressing experience, placing an unsettling weight on the commitment made just hours after having met one another. 365 Days (2020)

365 Days is a Polish erotic thriller film directed by Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes. It is based on the trilogy novel by Blanka Lipińska. The plot of the film reads – A woman falls victim to a dominant mafia boss, who imprisons her and gives her one year to fall in love with him. The film gained huge success and a sequel was released in 2022 titled 365 Days: This Day.

Sex/Life (2021)

Sex/Life is the story of a love triangle between a woman, her husband, and her past that takes a provocative new look at female identity and desire. Billie Connelly wasn’t always a stay-at-home wife and mother living in the suburbs. Before she married loving and reliable Cooper and moved to Connecticut, Billie was a free-spirited wild child living in New York City with her best friend Sasha.

Exhausted from taking care of her two young kids and feeling nostalgic for her past, Billie starts journaling and fantasizing about her passionate exploits with her sexy ex-boyfriend Brad, the big heartbreak she never got over. But the more Billie remembers, the more she wonders how she got here and then her husband finds her journal.

Will the truth about Billie’s past start a sexual revolution in her marriage, or lead her down a path back to the life she thought she left behind with the man who broke her heart?
