Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 4 Review: The fourth episode, titled ‘Eye of Science’ is filled with exciting plot points and a journey to search for the person who contacted the Kingdom of Science.

Dr Stone Season 3 Overview

Dr Stone (ドクターストーン) is an animation series based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. After a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone, humanity goes back in time. Years of civilisation have disappeared, and the only hope to rebuild it is in the hands of a brilliant scientist, Senku.

From studios of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

The fourth episode picks up from where the previous one left off. Senku shines through in the new episode as he re-invents a new device in the stone world that leaves everyone flabbergasted. After the suspenseful end of the last episode, he enters into his usual self and gets busy searching for the person who he thinks is responsible for the certification.

However, he is cautious and does not forget the responsibilities he holds and the expectations that the villagers have over him. Nevertheless, he manages to display a carefree attitude and make everyone around him have fun with the process.

It is important to point out that as the story progresses, the complexities of the devices and the new inventions increase. One has to pay close attention to the story so that one can have a better understanding of the plot. However, keeping up with the new segments is easy to grasp as the episode progresses at a steady pace. Humorous moments are added to every moment, which keeps it light and accessible to the audience.

The primitive society quickly changes to a developed one with each new episode. An explanation of every new aspect will be provided to the viewers as the subplot can be perplexing at some points. Furthermore, the characters have made considerable development in the new episode. Characters who were thought to be cold and distant are displaying emotions and even working well with the villagers. As time goes by, internal discrimination is diminishing within the small community, and everyone is getting along.

However, the episodes are moving at an incredibly slow pace which can be slightly difficult to go through for some viewers who are expecting intense fight scenes. It is important to understand the motive of the show is not just to be exhilarating but also to be informative at the same time. The creators have managed to keep the facts accurate most times which makes the series even more intriguing.

Apart from being an incredible treat to the eyes, the series also manages to put forward a plot point that keeps the audience hooked. With exciting subplots, the anime will damage to keep the audience intrigued the entire time. However, due to the slow pace, some viewers might find it difficult to keep up with it. Nevertheless, the episode ends on an exciting note which will keep the audience hooked and will make them come back for more.
