Dr Romantic season 3 (낭만닥터 김사부3) is the latest season of the romance medical Kdrama of the same name directed by Yoo In-shik. The show stars Han Seok-kyu, Lee Sung-kyung, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Joo-heon, So Ju-yeon, and Jin Kyung, alongside other cast members.
The new season brings the grand opening of Doldam Trauma Centre but with new challenges as Kim Sa-bu and his team face them in their professional and personal lives. As the scale of incidents and accidents that the hospital has to manage, the team has to provide top-quality care for their patients.
The show will have 16 episodes and be broadcasted on SBS on the Friday-Saturday slot at 10 PM previously occupied by Taxi Driver season 2. Dr Romantic season 3 episode 3 has a run time of 72 minutes.
The synopsis of the show reads:
AT DOLDAM, A SMALL COUNTRYSIDE HOSPITAL, KIM SA-BU WORKS WITH PASSIONATE YOUNG DOCTORS AND TREATS VARIOUS PATIENTS, DELIVERING HEALING TO MANY.

Dr Romantic season 3 episode 3 begins with Jin-man putting forth his condition in exchange for joining Doldam to Min-guk who is enraged and rejects it. However, he soon calls back to accept Jin-man’s condition on Sa-bu’s request, wondering why the latter made him do this.
Elsewhere, Jin-man leaves his office only to come face to face with a woman holding a sign demanding to know the truth about her son’s death to him. At Doldam, Dong-hwa has a nightmare of being surrounded by patients in a busy emergency room, when he suddenly wakes up and realises that he has fallen asleep while standing.
Suddenly, an emergency patient who is on the national-level ski jump team and had met with an accident is brought in. Dong-hwa is startled and a little out of mind, but soon brings back his focus on treating the patient.
Meanwhile, Woo-jin arrives at the hospital and finds that there is an extra desk in the new CT surgery cabin and wonders who it is for. He then meets Eun-jae and gives her the tomato juice he prepared for her, only to get an amusing reaction from her which he cannot stop teasing.
He then gets a call from the emergency room and rushes to find the athlete, but before going to the patient, he asks Dong-hwa about the details and his opinion. He then meets the patient who is complaining about pain in his abdomen, but Woo-jin understands what is happening and soon concludes that he is faking the pain.
The athlete’s coach rebukes him while Woo-jin rebukes Dong-hwa and teaches him in a harsh manner. However, Myung-shim reads the room and talks to Sa-bu about this while asking him to intervene because while Woo-jin is trying to teach Dong-hwa, the latter is being hurt by the former’s attitude.
Sa-bu laughs it off and assures her that the two will be able to get through this by themselves. But he too soon sees what she saw when observing the two throughout the day. He then tries to subtly advise Woo-jin, however, it is obvious that the latter has not been able to catch onto his words.
Jin-man soon arrives at Doldam, and the news that he will be taking over as head of the trauma centre soon spreads throughout the hospital. Myung-shim is the first to question Sa-bu about this and wonders if Min-guk had anything to do with this, however, Min-guk overhears this and clears up the misunderstanding.
He then takes Sa-bu along with him to meet Jin-man and soon witnesses another round of the two having a verbal battle. Jin-man then passes on a list of doctors who will be working alongside him at the trauma centre which shocks Sa-bu as no one from the Doldam hospital is included in the list.
The two are unable to get to a conclusion and Min-guk has had enough of their personal issues so he offers to take Jin-man to his temporary office. However, after Jin-man leaves the room, he once again asks Sa-bu to rethink his decision but gets the same answer from the latter.
Meanwhile, Eun-jae and the new intern Lee Seon-wung are in their office when Woo-jin, who had been passing by, enters after seeing the newbie drinking the juice he got for his girlfriend. He tries to question and tease Eun-jae when Jin-man enters the room which shocks the two.
Woo-jin soon finds out what has been happening and questions Sa-bu along with the other doctors. Sa-bu calms them down and tells them that someone else leading the new trauma centre was something that was bound to happen and Jin-man is a capable man who is not a bad choice.

He then asks everyone to put their bias aside and accept the situation, however, Woo-jin refuses to do so and decides to stay at their old hospital if Sa-bu were to stay there as well. Elsewhere, Eun-jae too tries to question her father about his decision but melts when he tells her that he missed her.
Later, the two meet and Eun-jae asks Woo-jin if it would be alright with him to have her father stay at their place while he stays back at the hospital to which he agrees. Meanwhile, the athlete has another crash landing but this time it is worse than the one before.
Back at Doldam, Ah-reum arrives at the hospital to find everyone in a tense mood and soon finds the reason for the same. She then meets Eun-tak and the two share a heartwarming moment together. Meanwhile, Dong-hwa continuously looks at the clock when suddenly he asks why the ER looks so empty which has him receiving looks from everywhere.
Soon, the phone rings and an emergency patient is on the way. Woo-jin arrives soon after and the patient is brought in, however, he is shocked to see that it is the same person he sent back for faking his illness. This startles him, but he soon comes back to his sense and begins the treatment.
The condition of the patient is worse and he asks for an operation theatre to be ready before taking emergency measures right there at the ER. Meanwhile, Eun-jae brings her father home and prepares him some food when she suddenly gets a message from the hospital due to which she has to rush back.
Jin-man continues to eat his food when he notices things that seem strange to him as Eun-jae told him that she had been sharing the house with Ah-reum. He soon finds out that Eun-jae has in truth been sharing the house with Woo-jin.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 3 Ending
Dr Romantic season 3 episode 3 ends at Doldam, Woo-jin is particularly harsh than before which triggers Dong-hwa but he is unable to do anything about this. Everyone notices this but stays quiet and continues with the surgery. The emergency measures are taken care of and the patient is wheeled into the operation theatre.
The rupture in the abdomen is first taken care of after which the focus is brought onto the athlete’s leg which has a severe fracture. Woo-jin proposes a procedure that would ensure the man is able to continue his life as an athlete which is not the usual way when Jin-man arrives and asks if Sa-bu is really crazy enough to listen to Woo-jin’s opinion.
Sa-bu soon makes the decision and agrees with Woo-jin and prepares for the procedure. Woo-jin tells Jin-man that the way Sa-bu has taught them gives priority to the patient and comes with a little romance when decisions are to be made. He then follows Sa-bu into the theatre while Eun-jae follows behind.
Jin-man is unable to believe the craziness of these doctors while Sa-bu begins the surgery.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 3 Review
Another fun-filled episode has been brought by the Doldam hospital team which makes us think of the craziness that doctors face in everyday life. However, all this comes with a lot of stress and some fun that cannot be denied, and of course the romance.
Sa-bu continues his flow of making us wonder what is going on in his mind while Min-guk is really just going with his speed and wondering what is happening again. We might as well say that this is true for the rest of the Doldam team, however, with the rock Jin-man standing in their route, we can say that the entertainment is really going to keep us hooked here.
However, it looks like there are soon going to be some troubles for the Woo-jin Eun-jae couple. With her father taking over the trauma centre while Sa-bu stays back, we can say that the couple is sure to go through a rollercoaster ride very soon.
