Dr Romantic season 3 (낭만닥터 김사부3) is the latest season of the romance medical Kdrama of the same name directed by Yoo In-shik. The show stars Han Seok-kyu, Lee Sung-kyung, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Joo-heon, So Ju-yeon, Yoo Yeon-seok and Jin Kyung, alongside other cast members.
The new season brings the grand opening of Doldam Trauma Centre but with new challenges as Kim Sa-bu and his team face them in their professional and personal lives. As the scale of incidents and accidents that the hospital has to manage, the team has to provide top-quality care for their patients.
The show will have 16 episodes and be broadcasted on SBS on the Friday-Saturday slot at 10 PM previously occupied by Taxi Driver season 2. Dr Romantic season 3 episode 15 has a run time of 73 minutes.
The synopsis of the show reads:
AT DOLDAM, A SMALL COUNTRYSIDE HOSPITAL, KIM SA-BU WORKS WITH PASSIONATE YOUNG DOCTORS AND TREATS VARIOUS PATIENTS, DELIVERING HEALING TO MANY.

Dr Romantic season 3 episode 15 begins with the return of anesthesiologist Shim Hye-jin and the news of the forest fire alerting the people at Doldam. As the Trauma centre remains without the staff, Min-guk continuously asks Dong-ju to get the staff back from their protest, however, the latter is not ready and asks Kim Sa-bu for help.
Meanwhile, Woo-jin arrives at the protesters and tells them about the forest fire alert after which he makes them realise their duty towards the patients. The group realised their mistake and soon make their way back to the trauma centre where the others were struggling to manage the patients brought to the centre.

The staff and Woo-jin and Eun-jae bring everything under control while the Ministry of Health and Welfare officer continues to note down everything he observes. The staff begin working at the rescue while Dong-hwa and Sun-woong prepare themselves for the battle ahead by eating and then soon heading out to help out at the hospital.
Suddenly, a burn patient is brought over but Sun-woong is unable to notice the burn due to his color blindness which puts him down as he begins questioning himself. Kim Sa-bu arrives at the patient and finds out that the burn is because of a leak in a nearby fertilizer factory and makes preparation for the same.
Now, the patients from the factory are first cleansed with saline and brought to the hospital while the other patients are sent to the trauma centre. Meanwhile, Ah-reum is dejected to see Eun-tak having no reaction to their breakup and grieves that their relationship might really end.
Elsewhere, when Dong-ju finds out about this, he questions Woo-jin who gave permission for the same. Woo-jin tells him that this is within the rules of the trauma centre as they are now facing a disaster situation.
The answers leave Dong-ju stunned but also impressed while Nurse Oh praises Woo-jin. She then tells Dong-ju about the need for him to be a leader who walks with everyone than an overbearing one who walks alone. Letting him know about his potential to be a good leader, she leaves to get back to work.
Elsewhere, two children show up at the hospital while Eun-jae and In-su work at saving the paramedics who are in critical condition. Dong-ju arrives and tells Eun-jae that they will be performing a joint surgery on Paramedic Heo while In-su is downhearted when he is unable to save the paramedic in front of him.
Meanwhile, Woo-jin is worried about the lack of an anesthesiologist when Hye-jin shows up and reassures them. On the other hand, Kim Sa-bu talks to Sun-woong who apologises for being a nuisance to the team. Kim Sa-bu laughs and tells him that it is not new for a newbie to create a nuisance and tells him that his disability cannot stop him from being good at what he does.
Kim Sa-bu tells him about how Moon-jung praised him for the surgery Sun-woong led, thus letting him know about his capabilities. With this, Sun-woong returns to the emergency room, meanwhile, Eun-jae is worried about Paramedic Heo’s children who are the only ones here to sign the consent form for his surgery.
Dong-ju arrives at this and takes the consent form to the elder son and asks him if he wants to see his father. While Eun-jae is not sure about taking the child to the patient, Dong-ju handles the situation by making the child understand what is happening and what he needs to do.
The consent form is thus signed by him and the patient is taken to the operation room. Meanwhile, Dong-ju reminisces about their med school days while preparing for the surgery alongside Eun-jae and Woo-jin. He manages to anger Eun-jae again while Woo-jin asks him why he likes doing this. Dong-ju then tells him that he has now found a new goal and is ready to work towards it.

The two surgeries soon begin and Nurse Oh and Do-il exchange looks while seeing Kim Sa-bu’s dream for Doldam come true in front of their eyes. Elsewhere, Kim Sa-bu is also pleased with the way things are playing out, unaware that bigger trouble is coming his way with the arrival of the paramedic chief.
Gi-tae hurriedly informs Kim Sa-bu about this and the two rush to meet him only to find out that the forest fire is now heading their way. Doldam Hospital and Trauma Centre are now in danger of being burnt down and need to be evacuated as soon as possible.
Kim Sa-bu is stunned by this when Do-il calls him to inform him that Paramedic Heo’s condition is worsening and in need of a neurosurgeon. Kim Sa-bu puts aside his shock and rushes to enter the operation room with Eun-tak while telling Gi-tae to inform Min-guk about this situation.
Min-guk is shocked by this and soon every staff member is informed about the same and brought to a meeting. There they are told of the protocols that need to be followed after this and how the evacuation is to take place. They are told to be calm and fast after which they are sent to handle the situation.
Woo-jin finishes his surgery and is informed about the same, but decides to enter the surgery taking place currently and help in assisting the others. On the other hand, the evacuation is underway when one of the patients at the trauma centre makes trouble for In-su.
Right then Nurse Oh arrives and handles the situation in her style, leaving the man speechless and ready to cooperate with the evacuation. The officer continues to observe the situation while the two men from the provincial office rush out while letting Assemblyman Ko know that they won’t need to intervene much because of the current situation.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 15 Ending
Kim Sa-bu and his dream team consisting of Dong-ju, Woo-jin, Eun-jae and Eun-tak work together in the room and at a fast pace. Kim Sa-bu successfully performs an External Ventricular Drain (EVD) in the patient’s brain and the team soon finish up with the treatment. He then informs everyone about the situation outside which leaves them stunned.

He tells them to evacuate as soon as they leave the room and asks Do-il to leave with the patient. Kim Sa-bu then expresses his gratefulness for being able to perform this surgery with his dream team while the others find it hard to believe that this might be their first and last surgery.
Kim Sa-bu then leaves the room dejected as he begins to look at the building that was his dream, one last time. Min-guk arrives to tell him to leave as soon as possible before rushing off to look around the building. Kim Sa-bu understands and stands to leave when he hears a woman’s voice calling out to him.
Meanwhile, the others begin rushing out while reminiscing their memories at the place when Eun-tak arrives to tell Woo-jin and Eun-jae that Kim Sa-bu cannot be found. This shocks them while Kim Sa-bu looks for the voice calling out to him.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 15 Review
The finale week has finally begun and it has lived up to being the climax of this season as Kim Sa-bu’s dream is put at stake. The trauma centre has been a dream of Kim Sa-bu’s since season 1 and knowing that this dream is soon to shatter is not an easy thing for Kim Sa-bu or fans of the show.
This episode brought in a lot of details and the fulfilment of Kim Sa-bu’s dream, but it also brought in a possible end for the same dream. However, the episode also showed the character of everyone on the show; Dong-ju’s readiness to learn and change, Woo-jin’s skills to lead, Eun-jae’s acceptance, Nurse Oh’s motherly self, and more.
The focus went on to every person connected to Doldam and prepared us for the upcoming finale that is ready to leave us stunned.
