Dr Romantic season 3 (낭만닥터 김사부3) is the latest season of the romance medical Kdrama of the same name directed by Yoo In-shik. The show stars Han Seok-kyu, Lee Sung-kyung, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Joo-heon, So Ju-yeon, Yoo Yeon-seok and Jin Kyung, alongside other cast members.
The new season brings the grand opening of Doldam Trauma Centre but with new challenges as Kim Sa-bu and his team face them in their professional and personal lives. As the scale of incidents and accidents that the hospital has to manage, the team has to provide top-quality care for their patients.
The show will have 16 episodes and be broadcasted on SBS on the Friday-Saturday slot at 10 PM previously occupied by Taxi Driver season 2. Dr Romantic season 3 episode 14 has a run time of 70 minutes.
The synopsis of the show reads:
AT DOLDAM, A SMALL COUNTRYSIDE HOSPITAL, KIM SA-BU WORKS WITH PASSIONATE YOUNG DOCTORS AND TREATS VARIOUS PATIENTS, DELIVERING HEALING TO MANY.

Dr Romantic season 3 episode 14 begins with a recap of the conversation Min-guk shared with Kim Sa-bu before Dong-ju’s return to Doldam. We are soon brought to the present where Dong-ju begins the surgery while Woo-jin observes from outside, only to be stunned by his speed and efficiency.
Elsewhere, Eun-jae tries to rush back to the trauma centre but is delayed when she finds a newborn wrapped in a hoodie in the ladies’ washroom. She rushes the newborn to the hospital and is able to save the child after which she rushes to the trauma centre. The hoodie in which the newborn was wrapped is recognised by another patient at the hospital who claims it to be his daughter’s.
Eun-jae soon arrives at the trauma centre and is shocked to see Dong-ju’s progress. She tries to take over her part but is stopped by Dong-ju who condemns her for her behaviour.
At the hospital, Dong-hwa tries to find out who first called Kim Sa-bu by this name. Later, he tries to find out if Eun-tak has given Ah-reum flowers only to find a bouquet in the dustbin. At the trauma centre, Eun-jae and Dong-ju get into an argument after the former questions him about his attitude in the operation theatre.
Eun-jae asks him if he wants to fire her from the trauma centre and if so then there is no one to take her place. Dong-ju then tells her that this is not true as his team from the U.S. is soon to arrive at the trauma centre, so leaving this place is a choice that she will be making herself.
This news comes as a surprise for everyone present and soon Ho-joon makes use of this to influence everyone at the trauma centre. As he gathers Eun-jae and the others to side with him in boycotting Dong-ju and leaves for the hospital, In-su and Woo-jin are worried and rush to Kim Sa-bu.
Min-guk too visits Kim Sa-bu and asks him about Dong-ju’s plan to get doctors from the U.S. to which the latter asks him to let Dong-ju carry on with whatever he wants to do. Meanwhile, the boycott team is adamant about not returning to the trauma centre while Moon-jung advice Woo-jin to keep patient during his recovery.
Kim Sa-bu soon gives Dong-ju a call and asks him about the situation and how he plans to handle it. He continues to trust Dong-ju but asks him if he wants to be a leader or a boss. As news of the boycott spreads everywhere, Kim Sa-bu meets Eun-jae and questions her actions when she is aware of how it may affect Woo-jin who had once gone through the same situation.
Eun-jae realises what she has been doing is not right and begins to find her way through this ordeal. On the other hand, the provincial budget officers have arrived and everyone begins to panic. Min-guk and Gi-tae rush to the trauma centre where the former is impressed by the way Dong-ju has begun to handle the situation.
As they take the officers to a meeting room, another official enters the empty trauma centre and is surprised to see no one. At the hospital, Kim Sa-bu and Ah-reum find out that the guardian of the newborn’s mother has cancer when they spot the mother in the hallway.
The young mother came back looking for the child she abandoned and reunites with her family. Kim Sa-bu later talks to her father and gives him the contact details of a friend who can help him with his surgery and financial aid for the same. Looking at the scene of the family reunion, Eun-jae remembers her reason for being a doctor and decides to bring everyone who boycotted back to the trauma centre.
Elsewhere, Dong-hwa gives Eun-tak flowers to take to Ah-reum who is alone in a hallway. Eun-tak makes his way to fix things with her only to be dumped by Ah-reum who is heartbroken by the decision that had to be made.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 14 Ending
On the other hand, the other official continues to wait at the trauma centre lobby while the phone there rings repeatedly. Meanwhile, Dong-ju and Min-guk continue to go through with the procedure with the officials; unaware that Assemblyman Ko has already intervened and brought the two officials to her side.
In-su arrives at the trauma centre to find the phone ringing, but what shocks him is the man who is waiting there and introduces himself as an official from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. In-su attends to the phone and finds out that there has been a forest fire in a nearby area.
The news is spread throughout Doldam and everyone prepares to take action. However, Ho-joon tries to stop Eun-jae from leaving the boycott when Woo-jin arrives.
An extra scene shows Dong-hwa asking Do-il about how Kim Sa-bu came to be called Kim Sa-bu when he reveals Jang Hyun-ju’s name which leaves the former startled.
Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 14 Review
People continue to anger viewers while we are left eagerly waiting for the next episode. Episode 14 brought chaos to the trauma centre, however, there are bigger problems and villains waiting for the team.
This episode has only left me eagerly looking forward to the next episode with the way it ended and the wait this time won’t be an easy one. Meanwhile, my anger for Assemblyman Ko and Ho-joon is reaching new heights as they continue to play their antagonistic characters every chance they get.
While Ho-joon gave us the hope that he won’t be much of a hurdle, this episode brought a crack to this hope and we can only hope that he goes back to his comic relief character soon.
On the other side, Dong-ju once again brought Woo-jin another speechless moment which influenced him to work harder. Meanwhile, the Doldam couples have brought us bittersweet moments with one sharing a cute moment while the other suffers a breakup.
