Doom of Love (Askin Kiyameti), a Turkish movie released in 2022, is a perfect movie for people who enjoy self-reflection. The latest offering from movie director Hilal Saral, arguably his most well-received work, this movie explores the concept of romantic love amidst the tawdriness and superficiality of the modern world.

Doom of Love: A Feeling of Love, Excitement and Unrivalled Happiness
Take a step back into your memory lane with this unique film that challenges your beliefs and preconceptions of true love. It is clear from the outset that Doom of Love is a movie made for the Turkish public. The themes, characters and settings are familiar to most Turks, but the incredibly choreographed scenes make it watchable.

There is a lot of talent on display, and although the plot feels thin in places, the pacing is good. I’d recommend watching it with subtitles, though, as some of the dialogue is relatively poor and halting.
Here’s a businessman who fell in love with no one but the luxury that surrounded him and the lifestyle he led. Yet, despite all this excess, something was missing in his life. But alas, it would take an unexpected encounter with a singer to spark a unique and everlasting connection between him and the world of loving – kindness and serenity.

The Afterglow of Love is Evident in Doom of Love
At first look, it can be seen that it relates to every person at every age, especially if they are single and are looking for love or in a relationship and trying to survive their relationship.
A businessman with debt and a loss of love in his life finds a young singer at a yoga retreat, and he cannot forget her. Together they take an adventurous journey where they gain new perspectives on one another. This movie is not just an inspiring tale with great locations and real-life events but also has two strong leads.

Doom of Love is an engaging drama. The director, Hilal Saral, was great in portraying scenes showing the relationship between humans and love. Those scenes brought the movie to life and added intensity to it. Turkish audiences will enjoy watching this movie because of its culture.

Doom of Love Offers an Engaging Plot and a Satisfying Conclusion
Throughout the movie, the main characters go through therapy sessions to discover their innermost desires, revealing themselves at the end. Most shots look static with no movement of characters throughout — making it feel like they were just set up in one area. Sometimes, this could work and give a sense of ‘composure’ to the character, and in Doom of Love, it does just that.

The plot is an excellent vision of how the cinema in Turkey has been improving over the last decade. The director offers a good look forward to the next decade and beyond. I consider it a real movie made for audiences who want to see Turkish film’s new and fresh developments. You can reach the premise and conclusion in nearly two hours with many memories for your future life.
The movie does an excellent job of capturing the essence of love. Love is about being with yourself, whatever happens, and loving others for who they are. Everything else that happens after that is fate. This is not your typical romantic drama movie. It is realistic, hilarious, and sensitive. Ultimately, it is a story of hope with a feel-good message. The characters are interesting and likeable.
