Doctor Strange Vs Mysterio: Spider-Man: No Way Home Concept Art Tease What We Missed

It has been more than a month since Spider-Man: No Way Home release. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spidey, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya as MJ and several others. In the MCU film, Peter interrupts Strange’s spell that opens the multiverse and invites villains from various universes who knew Peter/Spidey. But what if Mysterio was also one of the villains?

In the film, after Peter-Strange messed up with the strange, we met the iconic villains who fought different Peter Parkers. These villains were Doctor Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. But a new concept art teases that Mysterio was also a villain who was fighting against Doctor Strange.

In No Way Home, we got a fight between Spidey and Strange. But we all would pay again to see Benedict’s character against Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain if he’s the Mysterio here. Concept Artist Andrew Reeder shared the concept art on his official website. Mysterio and Doctor Strange are against each other at the Statue of Liberty in the concept art. It’s the same place where Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield’s Spideys fought the other 5 villains.

Fans have shared their reactions to the concept art on Twitter. One person tweeted, “You mean to tell me we almost had Strange vs. Mysterio!?” Another wrote, “How amazing would it be if Mysterio actually survived OR better yet we saw a variant appear who really did have magical powers and battled Doctor Strange like this?!”
