Being the actor’s second time hosting the live sketch comedy show, he did not seem to hold back when it came to cracking jokes and being cheeky with his monologue. The actor started off his monologue by stating how the team of SNL has been pitching him sketches all concerning Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is fine by the Marvel star but, he remarks having starred in other movies including The Power of the Dog, that got him an Oscar nomination.

But, he was soon enough told by the team that no one had watched the film because he was beaten by Will Smith. As the laughter roared from the audience section, Cumberbatch clarified, “No, not physically. No Physically”.
