Divorce Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega Review
The plot of the series revolves around two rival reporters who engage in a hilarious competition to become the sole anchor of the prime-time show. But when things go downhill for the channel because of their competition, their boss forces them to work together. However, this pushes them into trouble when they end up accidentally married and now struggle to get a divorce while keeping their relationship status hidden.
Bringing a plot that has some interesting twists and turns, this show is certainly entertaining in ways that make you opt to watch the show. It stands out among the sea of romcoms on Indian television and comes without the elaborately dramatised storyline that can get annoying in many ways. However, as soon as you begin watching the show, you will realise that some of the characters are those that you have already come across on multiple occasions.
Be it the stuck-up, competitive, and always right Nihat, the charming man with a cool attitude towards people and life Ashutosh, or the brand enthusiast who loves naming prices Ajay; these are characters we have already seen. They don’t get any better and stay the way they are for most of the show, though they show a certain level of growth because that’s how the show will go on. Meanwhile, the performance of the supporting characters can get a little dramatic which I’m unable to understand if it was done deliberately.

On the other hand, the dialogue hits the right points and keeps the interest of the audience. They really stand out as they must show the competition between the two characters, keeping the enthusiasm high. And because the two are working at a news channel, we cannot avoid some behind-the-scenes happenings in journalism that make you question a lot of things.
Coming to one of the themes of the story- getting a divorce. You can clearly see the struggles of getting a divorce in Indian society and how it is seen by society. Even the judge is biased towards not letting people separate, the counsellor is hell-bent on not letting her streak of zero divorces get disrupted, and the stories from the families just make you hit your head. While they are all brought together in a hilarious way, when looked deep into the context, you see the many loopholes that are present right in front of you.
It is easy to get married here, but divorce is something that will be a hurdle not everyone can cross. This is what we see in this series and I have loved how wonderfully it has been portrayed. But I still have my complaints about the abrupt feelings of love shown at the end with scenes from the past that are perfectly Bollywood. The show ends with many loose ends and I wish would have been tied up better.

Summing Up
Overall, the series is interesting and filled with hilarious twists and turns with an intriguing theme. However, it is a one-time watch which comes with its cringe moments and predictable scenes that are to be expected.
Watch Divorce Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega on Zee5.
