Destined With You Episode 4 Reactions: Fans Swoon Over Rowoon’s Performance as Lovestruck Shin-yu

Destined With You Episode 4 reactions are out on X (formerly Twitter), and fans have a lot to say about the mysterious plot of the show. Starring SF9 member Rowoon and Jo Bo-ah in the lead, the drama (이 연애는 불가항력) has been directed by Nam Ki-hoon. The supporting cast also includes Ha Jun, and Yura in key roles. The main plot of the show revolves around Jang Shin-yu and Hong Jong-ho, who share an unexpected connection from the past.

The show premiered its first episode on August 23, 2023, and airs on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM, KST time slot. It is also available for streaming on Netflix. The fantasy romance drama also has an impressive supporting cast of Hyeon Bong-sik, Lee Bong-ryun, Park Kyung-hye and Song Young-kyu.

The series’ plot revolves around Lee Hong-jo (Jo Bo-ah), a civil servant working at City Hall in Onju and Jang Shin-yu (Rowoon), a lawyer from a notable family. The two are connected via a forbidden book that was sealed 300 years ago, and turns out the owner of which is Hong-jo. The book holds key answers to Shin-yu’s deteriorating health condition due to a curse. How Hong-jo helps save Shin-yu through the help of the book is what is left to see.

The fourth episode showcased what happens after Hong-jo’s love spell was cast. It is then revealed that the love potion prepared by her for Jae-kyung (Ha Jun) ends up being consumed by Shin-yu (Rowoon) instead. The episode then showcases him being unable to control his feelings for her despite thinking otherwise. The two then decide to find a way to fix the love spell but learn that it may not be possible.

The episode’s highlight turned out to be Rowoon showcasing the two sides of his character. His performance as Shin-yu, who is now under Hong-jo’s love spell, left netizens impressed. The scenes where he brought up the character’s clingy side and made flirty comments made viewers swoon over him. Fans will have to wait to watch the fifth episode next week as it will air on September 6, 2023, at 10:30 PM KST.

The preview for the fifth episode showcased how Shin-yu and Hong-jo will try to go against their fate that has been sealed by the love spell. After learning that their destinies are tied due to the spell, the show also promises some emotional moments between the two. The preview also teased Hong-jo and her office crush, Jae-kyung sharing a conversation together, thus teasing the start of a love triangle. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see what happens ahead.
