Danish filmmaker and cinema maestro Nicholas Winding Refn is back with another reclusive neo-noir series Copenhagen Cowboy, which revolves around a young Miu, who makes her way through the criminal world, to seek revenge. The series stars Angela Bundalovic in the lead role and will have a total of six episodes.
The complete cast of the show will include Fleur Frilund as Jessica, Lola Corfixen as Rakel, Zlatko Burić as Miroslav, Andreas Lykke Jørgensen as Nicklas, Jason Hendil-Forssell as Chiang, Li Ii Zhang as Mother Hulda, Dragana Milutinović as Rosella, Mikael Bertelsen, Mads Brügger, Ramadan Huseini, and Per Thiim Thim. Moreover, the series is written by Sara Isabella Jönsson, Johanne Algren and Mona Masri with a screenplay from Nicholas himself.

The trailer for the upcoming neo-noir presents a completely bleak world, with a revengeful protagonist, Miu, who ventures into the criminal underworld of Copenhagen. At first, the setup looks quite similar to the previous works of the director and emits vibes of the Drive and Pusher trilogy.
However, it soon reveals the supernatural element attached to the protagonist. We can witness the unique capabilities of Miu, including an elevating scene wrapped with a marching soundtrack. Morever, the trailer also hints toward the vile antagonist, who sowed the seed of vengeance in the first place.
The one-minute and thirty-five seconds trailer successfully manage to reveal as little as possible and generates the utmost intrigue. Furthermore, it introduces us to all the classy elements of Nicholas Winding Refn’s features and heightens the stake for the upcoming project.

Notably, this is the first Danish language project by the award-winning director after the Pusher films. And it is also his second series, after the crime drama Too Old to Die Young, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, in the year 2019. The critically acclaimed filmmaker helmed the project along under his production company byNWR.
