Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Episode 9 Review- Who You Gonna Call?

Study Group Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Episode 9

Last week’s episode was an impactful one and a long time coming. Kikyo Kushida had been allowed to run wild for too long with disastrous consequences for the rest of the class, and somebody had to put a stop to that. That somebody was Horikita, who hoped to put all this behind her and prove that she was all-in for the class’s ascension to the top. However, that wasn’t the only conflict brewing and about to reach its boiling point. The most interesting part of that episode came at the absolute end when Ayanokoji received that text message.

Ryuuen has been a menacing figure in this tale for quite a while now and has been effectively built up as someone whose commanding presence shouldn’t be underestimated. It was only a matter of time before somebody figured out it wasn’t Horikita behind the scenes of Class 1-D and that Ayanokoji was the actual person of interest behind their admittedly few successes. The fact that it is Ryuuen has made their inevitable collision a lot more interesting and has also raised the stakes of the feud by quite a lot.

Ayanokoji has long sat on the sidelines, observing everything going on around him without doing much to influence anything, which can make him quite a frustrating character to watch sometimes. However, when he is motivated, like right now, he is an absolute joy to follow and observe. He is currently doing many things that would seem out of character to anyone who knows what he is really like (the audience) because they are normal things to do for teenagers, like being part of a group and having a romantic interest. He’s got something on his mind, and Ryuuen isn’t going to like what is coming to him.

Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Episode 9 saw the conclusion to the Horikita and Kushida story, hopefully for good. Horikita certainly proved herself to be capable of a lot more than we give her credit for, and the ways she took the fight to Kushida were very sensible, as she practically wrote her own downfall. Kushida partnered up with a snake and got bit, which is something Horikita was all too happy to encourage and utilise for her own good.

Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Episode 9 was a highly effective and impactful outing of this season that managed to accomplish a lot in its runtime without feeling rushed, like the first half of it. It wrapped up multiple storylines and interactions satisfactorily and started a few new ones that should lead this season to a highly intense conclusion. The key players have all been singled out now to go up against each other, and for once, they have all been built up adequately and with some care. This doesn’t even look like the same show that messed up adapting the first half of this season.

Verdict

Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 Episode 9 was a great episode that saw all the key players move against each other and make vital decisions. It was a highly logical and sensible episode, which means a lot coming from this show.
