– Change Days Season 2 Episode 13 Recap Contains Spoilers –

Change Days season 2 episode 13 starts with the night outs from the last episode, with a twist! Every participant will now get a chance to date anyone freely without restriction for the next 48 hours. As news reaches the participants, there’s an air of shock and confusion, and hilariously, as the MCs also note, everyone starts to rush back home.

The starting moment itself is hilarious as everyone starts to scramble back home, but the real shock comes later after the women come home to find that they’d be sharing a room with the other women. I am constantly left shocked as to the different emotions that these people feel with every oncoming curveball.

I love how everyone’s reaction to this sudden change is different, although most start crying, the confusion is pretty apparent as things get pretty chaotic regarding what the hell is even going on. In between all that, an all-out fight breaks out that confuses everyone further and puts more of a damper on an already difficult situation. In the end, however, it seems like everyone does come to the conclusion that staying apart might just give all of them some sort of clarity.

As old acquaintances come back to the limelight thanks to the Secret Date, things get heated at the villa. I mean, it must suck for Ji-yu and Tae-wan, considering Do-hyeong and Hye-yeon’s history. Meanwhile, Hui-hyeon has completely transformed into a guard dog; the personality change is not lost on even the MCs, who are confused as to what happened to the otherwise calm and collected Hui-hyeon!

The Secret Date between Do-hyeong and Hye-yeon goes a bit too deep, and I can’t really imagine what Ji-yu would be feeling watching this after the fact. Although I believe some of it is scripted, watching your boyfriend speak about these things with some other woman cannot be easy. I think this is where I find these two people to be rather selfish. You know you’re on camera; why would you be this lovey-dovey?

Anyway, as it gets dark, the rest of the lot sits at the villa, still absorbing the festivities of the last day, while things are still salty between Hyo-gi and Yun-seul. However, the only sweet thing to come out of it is Tae-wan asks Ji-yu out. Soon after, Hyo-gi asks her out as well. So, is it going to be a double date the next day? We’ll have to wait and watch!

When Hye-yeon and Do-hyeong do come back from that fated date, however, it goes as well as you can imagine. Fortunately, Ji-yu’s change is refreshing, and it’s heartening to watch her express herself better with Do-hyeong, regardless of where their relationship is going.

I say this because, well, Do-hyeong makes the ultimate sin and spills to an already upset Ji-yu that he is not attracted to Hye-yeon, but rather to Hui-hyeon. This brings out a rather honest and open side of Ji-yu that we haven’t seen before this, and regardless of what they talk about, it’s great to watch her be this person instead of keeping all of her feelings bottled up.

Change Days season 2 episode 13 is juicy and dramatic, and we love that in our girl. Apart from that, the episode has a lot to keep us invested for 75 minutes. It goes by in a breeze, and unlike the last few episodes, there’s enough friction among the contestants to keep things moving at a steady pace.

Change Days is streaming on Netflix.
