Castaway Diva Episode 5 Recap

Bo-geol saves Mok-ha and assures her that Ki-ho is alive and in hiding which settles the desperate Mok-ha’s heart. Later, Woo-hak arrives at the station where he sees Bong-wan and decides to follow the man who appeared in his flashbacks. Assured that he is indeed Ki-ho, Woo-hak feels guilty towards Mok-ha and later, comes to a conclusion to keep her safe with Bo-geol’s help.

The next day, Mok-ha finds out by coincidence that Ran-joo’s albums will not be sold and tries to rush to talk to Seo-jun. But, she is stopped by Park Yong-kwan who blackmails her using a video of her taking a mic. Elsewhere, Ran-joo tries to get her albums back on sale with the help of her previous company’s CEO Hwang Byung-gak.

He tells her to sing at his daughter’s wedding after which he will think about helping her out. Ran-joo is frustrated by the way she is being treated by both Seo-jun and Byung-gak, which leads to her pouring her anger on Mok-ha. Ran-joo spends the night at a sauna while Mok-ha decides to go to the wedding.

The next day, Mok-ha and Bo-geol make their way to the wedding while Woo-hak continues to stalk Bong-wan. The two arrive to see Seo-jun there with the intention of getting Byung-gak to stop Ran-joo’s album sales. Mok-ha is angered by this, but when she sees Byung-gak, she calls Ran-joo to arrive at the wedding.

The story of Ran-joo’s past is revealed; Byung-gak was her music teacher who quit his job to bring her to Seoul and make her famous. However, her betrayal when she joined Seo-jun left a mark on their relationship. Mok-ha encourages Ran-joo to arrive, promising to be her shield when she performs on stage.

Ran-joo picks herself up and comes to the wedding, later performing a duet with Mok-ha and leaving behind a stunning show. She then makes up with Byung-gak, however, the two forget to talk to him about the album sales. Meanwhile, facing rejection from Byung-gak, Seo-jun now decides to rely on his biggest star- Mo-rae, who has finally arrived in Seoul.

Later, Woo-hak enters Bong-wan’s house where he sees a family portrait of himself with Bong-wan, Bo-geol and their mother. Bo-geol arrives right then and tells him to leave but Woo-hak asks if Bong-wan is their father. Meanwhile, Mok-ha hears a familiar phrase from the brothers’ mother and asks her if she knows a boy named Ki-ho.
