However, despite her objections to using his powers, Sang-ung ends up saving people when they are in trouble and losing money quickly. His antics end up making him famous, and a lot of people start to take special interest in his powers. Among them is Jo Won-do’s Mundane Vanguard. His daughter, Jo Anna, is ruthless and wants to capture Sang-ung and take his superpowers, but is left disappointed over and over again. This results in her brother being called in, Jo Nathan, who has an even greater interest in harnessing Sang-ung’s powers since he is working on creating a dangerous drug that will result in users being easily mind-controlled.

Sang-ung walks right into a trap with Eun-mi and Ho-in, hoping to end the Mundane Vanguard’s reign of terror once and for all. Unfortunately, while in the middle of a heated fight between Jo Nathan and Sang-ung, he finally realises the weight of his father’s words when he uses Nathan’s money to fight against him and loses his powers in the process.

Meanwhile, Nathan and Anna are admonished by their father, and Nathan takes revenge by abducting Min-suk. With his powers still not back, Sang-ung refuses to budge and, with no other option, jumps from a high-rise, hoping to regain his powers. Thankfully, the reckless plan works in his favour, and he walks right into Nathan’s trap to get Min-suk. In the end, he gives up his own life to save Min-suk and takes Nathan with him.

Elsewhere, Anna also rushes to find him and, in the police station, a desperate Min-suk convinces Hyeon-seung to help Sang-ung before Anna’s men get to him. She hands him his allowance just at the right moment and saves him before it’s too late. Unfortunately, Nathan is alive as well.

In a rather surprising turn of events, Nathan kills Anna and, after getting his own superpowers, the two engage in a terrible fight that results in him getting help from the common public who want to see Nathan fall.
