Casey Anthony Where the Truth Lies is a documentary series that revolves around the trial of Casey Anthony, after nearly eleven years of her acquittal. There are a total of three episodes in the series that reflect on the outcome of the case, and the trajectory of the events. It is directed by Alexandra Dean and has a total runtime of three hours.
The series primarily features Casey, who presents her side of the story, and often breaks down while remembering her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Moreover, it also showcases some of the detectives and individuals involved in the case.

From what we know after watching the series, Casey Anthony became the prime suspect in the infamous trial, after the remains of her daughter were found under mysterious circumstances. Moreover, her trial divided the people in American living rooms and also led to a polarised discussion.
However, when the Jury revealed the outcome of the trial and pronounced Casey as not guilty, the controversy surrounding the case became even more significant. There was a particular section of individuals, that rallied outside her home, and were seemingly not happy with the decision.
Later, it was revealed through interviews and investigations, that the Jury had to rely on reasonable doubt and the written laws, to arrive at their decision. They also had to keep their bias out of the case and produce a judgment, solely based on facts and the findings. This is why Casey was found innocent, and not charged with the death penalty.
In the documentary, Casey presents her side of the story and reveals why she lies to the cops. Casey states that due to years of abuse, she was constantly manipulated by her father, and was led on the wrong path. The trauma of her childhood interfered with her decisions of the present and is also well documented in the series.

At the end of each episode, there is also a note about the people who were approached for the project, and who denied making any comment. This is why, we get to see the series of events, prominently from Casey’s side and based on her version of the story. However, the docu-series makes all efforts to prevent any one-sided bias.
Notably, after eleven years of the trial, Casey is living with her lead detective on the case, and his family in Floria. And served a short jail time for her wrongful lies to the cops. Furthermore, She has been trying to live a new life, with trusted and loving people in her life, ever since the loss of her daughter.
