Carnival Row Season 2 Ending Explained

For the unversed, the previous episode witnessed an aggressive outburst by Vignette, Kaine, and Phaedra, which resulted in an agitated mob gathering at the Row’s gate. Despite Dombey and his men’s efforts to control the situation, they struggle to contain the mob. However, when Dombey realizes that Constable Thatch is leading the rebellious group, he reluctantly decides to open the gates. Once inside, the mob unleashes chaos and destruction in every corner.

Furthermore, it transpires that Leonora had been scheming all along to incite the mob into attacking the Row, with the ultimate objective of leading her followers in mass murder. Although the Raven had hoped to secure the needed support in the battle, they are disheartened to learn that the creature will not be present at the Row. In a bid to lure the furious mob into a more open area, Vignette and Kaine volunteer themselves as bait, hoping to draw the attention away from the Row.

On his route to Parliament, Rycroft falls prey to an angry mob of rebels who try to strangle him with a rope. As he teeters on the brink of unconsciousness, his thoughts drift to his Vignette. Notably, a group of constables intervenes and disperses the mob, freeing Rycroft from the strangling just in time to save his life.
