Manifesting a full-fledged OT7 comeback in the NCT Dream realm was deemed a far-fetched reality once upon a time. However, with the upcoming release of Candy, the group’s first-ever winter special album, peace has been restored among ‘Dreamzens’. Taking a trip down the good ole’ memory lane, one of the two preview photos released today is especially hitting the right notes by checking all the nostalgia boxes.
While the upcoming album stands as the first winter album to be released by the group, its preview snap matches the group’s ultimate debut album, The First‘s cover, but this time filling in the gap of the missing piece in the old album. All seven members of the group, who’ve been channelling their youthful energy since their debut in 2016, are present on Candy‘s preview (2000 liner Jaemin, the group’s centre, was absent for the debut cover and promotions due to health issues back then).

Fans aren’t taking this lightly either, as they instantly took to noticing the similarity shared between the two previews, as this time, all the pieces fit together for the album that we’ve all been waiting for. Even the order in which they stand for the new photo is the same as the previous one, with each of their heads popping out from behind a red door decorated with a Christmas wreath and other decorations bedecking the doorway.
The other one captures the septet – Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung – in their eccentric, quirky, laid-back avatar wearing sporty winter fits, with them displaying their respective name jerseys underneath. Once again, the photo is filled with Christmas ornaments like bells, glimmering balls and ribbon-wrapped gifts as eye-catching candies spell out the word ‘CANDY’.
