K-pop Groups

TWICE

In February 2022, TWICE became the fastest K-pop act to reach 4 billion streams on Spotify in just 1,407 days since joining the streaming platform. Holding the record for becoming the first girl group to reach the milestones of 1 billion, 2 billion, and 3 billion the fastest among other groups, they joined BTS and BLACKPINK who were already in the club.

BTS

From 4 billion to 40 billion, BTS has been part of this club for a long time and their position here is well deserved. They broke various records by becoming the first Korean act to surpass 40 billion streams on the platform and have only been moving forward since then. We can see why the solo artists in this club are all the group’s members.

BLACKPINK

Being the first K-pop girl group to join the Billion Club on the streaming platform, the group has been enthusiastically supported by fans over the years. With the members all joining the Billion Club in their solo careers as well, the popularity of this group can never be underestimated.

Stray Kids

Not just the 4 billion club but Stray Kids have surpassed 9 billion streams on Spotify and have become the third K-pop group to do so. Joining BTS and BLACKPINK in achieving this feat, they are also the only fourth-generation K-pop act and JYPE artist to be able to achieve this feat.

SEVENTEEN

Surpassing 4 billion streams on Spotify in 2023, this group has only been moving forward since then and garnering more popularity throughout 2024. With another billion added to their total number of streams, they are slowly moving to join the bigger billion clubs at their pace.

ENHYPEN

Becoming the fastest Korean boy group to enter this club, ENHYPEN achieved this milestone in 2024 and has truly shown its power in the industry. The band is immensely popular across the world and has shown no signs of stopping any time soon as they continue to bring out more content for their fans.

TXT

TOMORROW X TOGETHER aka TXT also achieved this feat earlier this year when they surpassed 4 Billion streams on the platform through the support of their beloved MOAs who stopped at nothing to show their love for the group. The group has also shown their love for their fans through content that has been entertaining their fans all year round.

Soloists

Jungkook

Jungkook’s debut solo album Golden was truly a marvellous piece of work and it soon became the first and only Korean album to reach 4 Billion streams on the platform. He became the fastest to achieve this feat in just 276 days, soon becoming known as the ‘King of Spotify’ by fans.

Jimin

While he may have entered the Billion club the fastest surpassing Harry Styles; Jimin entered the 4 Billion club in 2024 and soon became the only K-pop soloist to stay at number 1 in the charts for the longest period which is of 458 days straight in South Korea.

V

This year also saw V surpass 4 Billion streams on the platform making him the third in this list and also the third BTS member to do so. The record set his solo career in stone and highlighted his talent as a singer.
