ARMYs brace yourselves, for the time has come for the new BTS military service notice, announcing the future of the remaining members of the group. On November 22, the South Korean musical septet’s socials updated the latest Weverse post addressing the issue of the last four members of the group – RM, Jimin, V aka Taehyung and Jungkook – who are yet to enlist for their mandatory military service.
This post highlighted that the quartet was ready to dive into their military obligations soon, and the new BTS members enlistment date would be announced in the coming days. Soon after that, the youngest member in the lot, Jungkook, who recently collaborated with The Kid Laroi, and even released his own debut solo album Golden, took to the platform and shared a heartfelt letter for the fans, digging even deeper into his thoughts and feelings around the matter.

Linked below is the new Jungkook letter that was posted earlier, and in his short, yet precise address, the BTS maknae line’s member voices his heavy sentiments about having to leave to serve in the military. Despite this hiatus severing his ties with the fans for a short while, Jungkook reminisces all the precious memories with ARMY. He refers to these moments as the “brightest” ones of his life, and ones that have the power to warm his heart. Expressing his sincere gratitude and affection to the fans who’ve stood by him and the rest of the members for so long, Jungkook thanks them for walking beside him silently and supporting his dream.
He admits that the time spent apart will be long, but at the same time he’s also promised the fans that he and the rest of the group will be back on stage with a maturer outlook. While there’s still some time for the BTS enlistment schedule to be announced, it seems that Jungkook couldn’t hold himself back from sending this wholehearted message across to the fans that ends with him asking the fans if it was too early for him to write a letter like this.

Jin and J-Hope were the first ones to head out for their duties last year, while Suga went off earlier this year. Now the inevitable has caught up with the remaining four members – the BTS leader – RM, and the maknae line representatives – Jimin, V aka Taehyung and Jungkook -who’ll be going off soon too, so that all seven of them can regroup in 2025 as per their promises of a big OT7 reunion, a much sought-after feat that the BTS ARMYs are looking forward to.
