BTS’ Jungkook and Usher Tease Standing Next To You Performance Video and Their Awaited Classy Collaboration

In another cross-border music collaboration for the history books, BTS member and soloist Jungkook and Usher are all set to come together and blur out all differences between what the world deems pop or K-pop. Their unified stance will be churning out the latest Standing Next to You remix version of the focus track featured on Jungkook’s solo debut album, Golden

On December 13, KST, the brand-new Standing Next to You Usher remix video teaser was posted on the social media pages of BTS profiles, finally cutting short the wait for this much-awaited collaboration between the two pop icons of the contemporary music scene. This golden partnership was teased way ahead of this teaser video release as the American R&B sensation had dropped a short video clipping of him and Jungkook swaying to one of his most memorable and prominent songs from the 2000s – Yeah. The video was captioned “Stay tuned”, and today’s performance video teaser revelation marks the successful fruition of this plan.

Although the audio of the remixed track featuring Usher is already out on music platforms, the performance video will raise the excitement bar to a whole new level, considering how both singers are deemed two of the most trendsetting dancers and performers of the age. The Jungkook and Usher Standing Next to You performance video will drop on YouTube on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2 PM KST or 12 AM ET.

Usher’s version of Standing Next to You is now streaming on Spotify with the rest of Jungkook’s discography as a soloist. In other news, as of December 12, he and Jimin were the last two members of BTS to have been enlisted in the army. Earlier this week, V, aka Taehyung, and RM were also enlisted, and the occasion called for a brief OT7 reunion for the first time in a long while. Jin and J-hope will be discharged from their duties in 2024, whereas the rest will follow in 2025, making way for a full-fledged reunion and OT7 comeback, as the septet promised to their fans.
